January 21, 201610 yr Anyone here enjoying Star Wars Battlefront? I had the 10 hour trial with EA Access and really enjoyed it but couldn't bring myself to pay full price for the game as the content is so limited. I'll probably get it when the price drops.n

January 22, 201610 yr Finally completed Fallout not the most enjoyable of stories but good game nonetheless.
January 22, 201610 yr Finished Just Case today. Storyline is a abit poor but overal, it was a fun, well made game. 8/10. Nothing memorable but an awful lot of fun.
January 28, 201610 yr Think I'm going to trade in GTA - CEX are offering £30 - I never play online and I've finished the campaign. That, plus Shadows of Mordor will pretty much get me Battlefront. Still playing Fallout - built a nice fort. Hopefully I finish up with that and trade it in for a fair bit of the Far Cry Primal full price.
January 28, 201610 yr I've been playing the Witcher 3 for a couple of weeks. I'm enjoying it and it will probably keep me going for a few more weeks. As good as it is, I think it's fair to say that gamespot's 10/10 was ridiculous. Really really good game but come oooonnnn.

It was the best game I'd played since my old PC gaming days with Age of Empires: Rise of Rome and Total Club Manager 2003/04.

Can you not see why it was given such a high score? It's such a deep, engrossing game. Graphics are fantastic, the music, the side quests- which all have their own arch, not just a go here, fetch this feel to them- the controls, the story- all sublime. You can see how much effort they put into making it.
January 29, 201610 yr The Witcher 3 is definitely one of the best games I've played so far. But I don't think it's a perfect game. Never really took Gamespot's reviews seriously anyway.

January 29, 201610 yr You should review it on your blog - loved your Far Cry reviews. I was going to, but I was playing it for weeks and weeks and weeks and it just seemed pointless to after such a long time had passed since release lol. Thanks!
January 29, 201610 yr I liked Witcher 3, was impressed by the scale of it but wasn't overly blown away with the gameplay. The combat was quite dull in my opinion, the alchemy was pretty pointless as well. Bloodborne was my personal highlight of 2015, followed by Fallout 4.

Followed by Syndicate? You love it
January 29, 201610 yr I thought combat was great although, yeah, I rarely used alchemy other than Swallow. It was definitely my favourite game of 2015, followed by the new GTA V, Far Cry 4 (though they was released in late 2014) and I actually really enjoyed Dying Light. January 29, 201610 yr 10 doesn't mean perfect apparently, it means "masterpiece", otherwise nothing would score 10. We see this score thing differently then. I'd give it a high 9 pointer. There are a few aspects (e.g. combat) which they could've done a better job IMO. An excellent game nonetheless :). It's my GOTY followed by Fallout 4, GTA V and Arkham Knight.
January 29, 201610 yr Totally agree with FC. The combat is good albeit nothing special and I'm not a fan of the skill tree system, just seems a bit messy. Don't get me wrong, i'd still give it a solid 8.5 or maybe a 9, but the way the Gamespot reviewer described it was seriously over the top. If he'd gotten any more excited he would have made a right mess of his recording equipment. For game of the year, I can't see past rocket league. Reviewers will go on about a games graphics, the story, the combat, how it makes you feel bla bla bla, all that matters to me in a game is if it's fun, and rocket league is that. Simple but brilliant.
January 29, 201610 yr True, I never bothered with the alchemy either. Followed by Syndicate? You love it I've got one more trophy to get to get the platinum trophy for Syndicate. It was fun but having finished the main quest now I was left a bit underwhelmed. I felt like I maxed out my stats for both the Fyre twins really early in the play through and I was left with nothing to strive for. It's a good game but I didn't find myself craving to play it like I did with a lot of other games I played in the last year.

I've never bought any DLC but would be very tempted to get the Witcher's if I have nothing to play after Fallout and Far Cry Primal. I haven't even completed all the side quests or contracts though. It's my GOTY followed by Fallout 4, GTA V and Arkham Knight. I was just quoting what they say on their website and basing it on the fact that if it wasn't a 10 for me, I don't see what would be, given how much I love it! January 30, 201610 yr Picked up Syndicate and managed to get a few hours in. It's pretty solid without being speculator. Bit of a return to form for the AC franchise. I do think they her to rethink the concept as it's got abit tired now. Other developers are doing much more with their games and Syndicate still feels like it's the same moves, storyline, combat etc. Still, it looks incredible and seems a decent game. Has anyone played the Order? I might get that afterwards. Didn't want to pay full price and always said I'd get it once it's cheaper.
January 30, 201610 yr Has anyone played the Order? I might get that afterwards. Didn't want to pay full price and always said I'd get it once it's cheaper. It's good. Very heavily focused on telling a story, with lots of cut scenes. Graphics are gorgeous, maybe some of the best so far on PS4. However! It's short, like really, really short. I finished it in two days. Because it is a linear narrative and not open world there isn't much to explore and they've not padded out the game with lots to do, they just want to tell you a very specific story with no distractions.
January 30, 201610 yr I picked up Far Cry 4 for about £9.50 on the Gold Discount on Xbox One which is pretty good. I'm waiting for The Division. [emoji4]
