A good article about Ubisoft's tired franchise, Assassin's Creed. A lot of good points here. 

 

I too am hoping that the years break they are having will allow them to revamp the gameplay, but I have a feeling that despite the new Egyptian setting much will remain the same.

Help me people. Do I get Rainbow Six or Star Wars Battlefront?

Neither?

Basically I've got no games which are inspiring me. My potential choices are:

- Battlefront (not a massive fan of online FPS though)

- Rainbow Six (ditto above)

- Mortal Kombat

- Sleeping Dogs (played PS3 version and loved it, plus it's cheap)

- The Order

Looking at Mortal Kombat and Sleeping Dogs to tide me over until the Divison comes out. Can't think of any other games to get.

Anyone played the above games?

I wouldn't recommend Star Wars, unless you are a massive Star Wars fan as that will blind you to it's many shortcomings.

Mortal Kombat is just...meh. Not bad but not great.

Most of those choices sound terrible to be honest. Sleeping Dogs was decent, The Order doesn't look that great from what I've seen but I would go with that if I had to choose seeing as you already played Sleeping Dogs.

No idea, I got sent an email from Ubisoft asking me to take part, I assume because I took part in the Rainbow Six beta before.

I ended getting Mad Max in the end. Hoping it's a good blast.

Underwhelmed. The AI is sh*t and it looks very clunky. Sigh. I was really looking forward to this but I don't know if I'll bother getting it now. 

Yeah it's prob just Far Cry 3 just reskinned - like most Ubisoft games.

Has anyone been playing the Division Beta? It seems ok, not amazed but appreciate it is a Beta version. Just seems like a standard 3rd person shooter.

I've been impressed by The Division.

It's a cool blend of game styles. 3rd person cover shooter, RPG, open world, PvP and PvE.

They've got a lot of things locked off for the beta like the crafting system and most of the leveling up system.

The dark zone is a cool concept but I think parties are going to absolutely dominate it.

I'll be buying it just a question of whether I get Far Cry on Tuesday to tide me over, I'm waiting for the reviews.

Division feels abit samey. Cover, shoot, move..and repeat.

I'm hoping the proper game is better and has abit more to it.

Loving the division beta, really looking forward to its release now!

Picked up mortal Kombat today. It's a lot of fun and well made. Should be abit of fun.

Played abit of Mad Max as well. Seems ok.
