Loved that game, I was hoping for a new game but a remake will be good.

My brother got it this morning, I’ve just polished off Assassins Creed Odyssey so on Monday when he’s pissed off to work I’ll be nicking it

Yeah same here. Less than 1 hour into but taking my time and trying to savour it. Even the missus noticed how incredible the graphics are.

Been playing Moving Out with my lad. Such a fun and creative game. So refreshing and a change. 

Am I the only one who finds the sound completely f**ked? I go from struggling to hear conversations in a cutscene to being deafened by door opening.

Yep, whack on the subtitles. They don't intrude and I stuck them on right at the start as thought I'd miss something.

I think I’ve worked it out. With hardly any planes flying due to the pandemic I’m not used to living life with their constant noise overhead. 

With it being so hot I leave the cabinet under the tv the PS4 is in open to help it keep cool.

The fans in the PS4 when it gets slightly warm sound like a jumbo jet and I’m not used to the sound anymore. 
 

(seriously my PS4 sounds like it’s getting ready to explode at times)

I`m guessing thats why they've made the new one into a massive router looking heap, loads of cooling. MS went the conventional PC case way.

All Assassins Creed games have been 'trashy fantasy'. Imagine how boring they'd be if they stuck to real world physics and history. So no hidden blades in any of the games, none of the assassins would have their hood up all the time as it would disrupt their vision, no free running up 200m tall buildings and jumping off. 

Don't even get me started on the piece of Eden and the bloody time machine. 

Just a appreciate it for what it is as it looks a good game.

Always makes me laugh when gamers complain a game isnt realistic enough.

So weird eh, video games are about escapism for me, realism is way down the list of what I want from a video game.

Completed The last of us 2 earlier. Not really sure atm what I think of it, doesn't deserve the floods of negative reviews that came from before people played the game due to plot leaks but at the same time it feels like there was something that made the first game so good missing, which given the length of the game itself and how long we've waited for it is more than a bit frustrating.

Regarding the assassins creed subject, I can understand peoples frustration regarding excessive or "unrealistic" fantasy. The best fantasy stories are always best when they stay somewhat grounded, aren't excessive and follow a sort of set of world rules established around the game, film or series (that probably comes across terribly but hopefully makes sense), that is something that both the Lord of the Rings and Game of Thrones do really well in my opinion (Game of Thrones f**ked that up in numerous places with the TV show in the last 2-3 series though).

I haven't played the latest AC and only started the Egypt one before getting bored and loosing interest incredibly quickly but for me the series lost "it" when it became clear they had no idea what they were doing, especially with the modern world part of the story, when they killed Desmond off. The London one was good IMO but almost felt completely different or like it had no relevence to the previous ones.

Can anyone still playing them explain what exactly the story is now? Don't worry about spoiling it... I doubt I'll ever get around to playing them again🤣

I’ve just finished the last one so I can quite confidently tell you that no, no I can’t!

The Last of Us 2 a masterpiece? Am I missing something? The graphics and animations are top notch, but everything else is pretty mediocre for me. This is up there with Zelda: Breath of Wild as one of the most overrated games I have seen.

Haven't seen it described like that myself, where was that? First one was an absolute masterpiece unquestionably, not this one unfortunately. Very good in places, a few great set piece bits, but fell short in too many other ways especially the overall story, charachter development and pacing. probably a 7ish/10 for me compared to 9.9/10 for the original.
