Bah. Started again and chose Human Ranger and now I wish I'd chosen Wizard. I always regret my choice in these games where you can choose so many things in the character builder.

Wizard is tough to play in the early stages if you're a newbie to the game or to cRPGs in general. And the ranger is just sh*t.

Which console won in the South Park console wars? 

Having a bit if trouble finding Xbox Ones total sales figures, Microsoft keep releasing sales statements for "Xbox consoles" which is both the One and the 360 combined. They also refer to units shipped and not sold.

Anyway, it looks like it might be somewhere around 12 million units meanwhile the PS4 has sold well over 20 million units to date... Not bad for a console that supposedly has no games.

The massive price drop by Microsoft of the Xbox One for Christmas helped but the console is a shell of the original "entertainment centre" that was originally announced first with the always online policy scrapped, then ditching the Kinect as a compulsory accessory and the abandonment of Xbox TV. No wonder they've knocked £100 off of it already.

Most 3rd party games run at a better resolution and sometimes better frame rate on the PS4.

Early days but a lot of Sony's 1st party studios have yet to announce what it is they've been working on this years E3 could be very interesting especially looking at how well received Bloodborne has been, historically Sony exclusives have been very well received (The Last of Us, Uncharted series, God of War).

Basically, no contest.

The Xbox One is improving with every update and now substantially cheaper than the PS4. Units sold isn't an indicator of the better console because everyone knows the Xbox One really cocked up their launch with the price, always online thing and U-turns which is when a huge number of orders would have shipped. Doesn't mean it can't be a better console now. Obviously the PS4 doesn't have "no games" but I'd say Xbox exclusives are slightly better although it's clearly dependant on taste. 

 

Anyway, the Xbox One was undoubtedly the second best console at launch but there's no question it has caught up, whether that making it just behind, equal or just ahead is down to what the individual wants from the console.

Caught up in price maybe but it's still running games at a below par level compared to the PS4.

PS4 on the whole so far is essentially better built for gaming and it's showing in the games thus far.

Must admit I've only played PS4 a few times at someone's house but I didn't particularly notice any difference. Couldn't handle the controller either but that would just take some getting used to probably.

PES is like a different game on the PS4 compared to Xone.

It's running at 720p on the xone while 1080p on PS4 and it makes a noticable difference IMO.
