Far Cry 4 arrived today and I'll be picking up GTA V later (hopefully). Already got AC Black Flag and Unity to complete and start respectively alongside other sporting/racing games so I should be set for months.

£45 from Game though it was a birthday present from my parents. 

Surprised Shadow of Mordor doesn't get more coverage. It has excellent critic and user reviews and has even won several Game of the Year Awards for 2014. Has anyone here played it?

Yeah, I was told it was out of stock but as I was browsing other stuff and then walking out of the shop they ran up and told me they'd found one. I looked in HMV and Tesco beforehand and both had no copies in either. Even CEX was selling it second hand for £48. Ridiculous. It's only because I knew I'd get so many hours out of it that I thought it'd be worth it.

When it was released last gen it was by far the best selling game of all time. You'd think they would get enough in for the current gen...

 

I'm hoping there will be a big shipment of them somewhere eventually...

I'm sure there'll be plenty of stock in around October onwards for Christmas, but it just depends whether you can wait that long!

I see The Elder Scrolls Online doesn't require a subscription now and has had some sort of update. Anyone play it? Is it worth getting now?

It was always going to have the subscription fee removed, gamers generally aren't willing to pay it anymore, especially console gamers.

It got timid reviews when it was released and there was a massive delay bringing it to consoles, for a while it looked like it wasn't happening.

I've not seen or read much on the game but apparently it's quite boring, especially in comparison to Skyrim. Apparently it's just endless fetching quests.

So I've just worked out at Destruction level 86 that I was supposed to buy better spells. I've been fighting everyone with the 3 basic Flames, Sparks and Frost spells the whole game.

 

So much easier now.

Really enjoying Forza Horizon 2 so far.

 

Managed to shave a measly 11.8 seconds off Dkw's time in my 1st rivals race

What's it like? I've always liked the open world of NFS but the driving mechanics and graphics of Forza. Does Forza do the open world well? Never played Forza Hirozon.

Yeah, it made killing all those dragons quite hard.

Put in about 15 hours on Bloodborne, made decent progress now and been doing a fair amount of co-op play too.

Probably the best game on PS4, very fun, very challenging, gorgeous visuals. What more could you ask for?

Easily my favourite racing game. Take a car that handles realistically then drive it wherever you like. The visuals are also beautiful.

Probably not as, shall we say, 'nerdy' as the standard Forza games but if you want something that's just a lot of fun then go for it!

I got it for 25 in tesco yesterday. Same as Amazon but that said 'despatched within 3 weeks' when I looked.

Been playing a bit of Far Cry 4, and really like it.  The massive map and how you can do things at your own space is so much better than an A to B to C

Those are the boring bits for me. I only did as much Shangri La as I had to. I just like realistic stuff.
