Any game recommendation?

Still chugging along with Dying Light, I think I must have put in about 25 hours now and only just reached Old Town.

The game is huge if you do a lot of the side quests and the lack of fast travel definitely adds to that too. I'm above level 10 with all of the skill categories now and have unlocked some pretty cool stuff like the grapple hook which just expands how you play the game.

Been pleasantly surprised by this game in truth, more than tiding me over until Bloodborne comes out.

I find I get bored of games a lot nowadays and rarely finish them,

Played Skyrim for about 20-30 hours on Steam and got bored.

Played Shadow of Morder for about 5 hours and got bored.

Played Evolve for about 8 hours and got bored.

Back in my teens I could play through games easily, but I just can't be arsed any more. I have such a short attention span, always looking for something else more interesting.

I have the same problem, which is why I tend to play a lot of shorter indie/PSN-type stuff. I also like handheld (3DS) games because you can just flip it open for a quick gaming fix. I must have spent over a hundred hours playing the Morrowind on the original Xbox. Even if I didn't get bored I just don't have that amount of free time these days.

Think most people are the same.

It's great for a few months then you get flat our bored with it, no footy games since PES 6 have had me playing since after Christmas.

Only reason I keep them is because when your friends ar eover it's a great to play and you get a good laugh but single player and online are brutal.

I buy it every year despite all of that.

Exactly this!

I've got a 3DS too, love it. Nothing like a quick game of Smash Bros whilst waiting for the kettle to boil!

And me, years ago I used to play FIFA every day but 14 & 15 have been awful, I just play GTA now.

GTA V is a cracking game. Love the first person view!

I do want to complete Skyrim. But I got the expansion packs with it when i bought it, and i'm somewhere doing some sort of Vampire thing and it's really confusing to be honest, and since it's been ages since i played it, every time i try I have no idea what's going on.

Also my f**king Dawnbreaker firey sword thing is bugged

I played Skyrim a lot when I first got it...like I logged many many hours. I completed most the quests...all the main story, and expansions (I didn't play it until last year though). I stopped playing when I found other games that kept my interest.

I tried playing it again recently, but had completely lost track of where I was, forgot all the keys etc...made me sad.

The only really notable quest I failed to complete was the civil war...I was saving that till the end...I wanted to complete every quest available.

In the end, I started a second save, with mods, going full warrior instead of strange archer/mage...but never got into that save, which lead to me stopping playing.

I need to get back into it...I want to finish that first game.

Oh and the vampire stuff is pretty cool...except for one place you have to go...it's really big, really confusing. I got lost for hours trying to find everything. I preferred the other expansion.

Oh Skyrim, how wonderfully boring a game that was! Bethesda creates huge, breathtakingly beautiful worlds only to then fail to fill them with rich backgrounds, interesting characters and good storylines...

Do people buy digital or physical copies of games? I'm tempted to get Dragon Age while its on sale digitally but then again, that means it has no resale value.

Only digital if it's a really good offer.

I bought Alien for £17.99 and the last of us for the same.

Physical ones are better as you can trade in and get money off other games.

Anyone here played Prototype 2? is it any good? I'm downloading it as I quite liked it's first part.

It's as much fun as the first one was, so I'm sure you'll like it.

You don't know what you're talking about.

^ Never played Fallout 3, or New Vegas. I remember playing Oblivion and I hated it, which put me off Fallout 3. Not sure why, they're not even the same genre of games!

But I'd be interested to see what Fallout 4 is going to be like.

Fallout is a lot more, shall we say, kooky than the Oblivion games.

There's some really strange and random stuff you have to do like rounding up different people/things for a brothel including a ghoul and a sex robot.

The Fallout world is really fun and interesting to me, I mostly played New Vegas but sunk a lot of hours into it randomly exploring the wasteland.

A next gen Fallout will probably be epic.

The big gaps between releases of Bethesda games are so painful. If they announce a next gen Fallout I'm just going to hibernate until it comes out.

As long as they take, I guess it's better than them releasing the same game every year with minor changes. I'm looking at you, Ubisoft.

I'm talking about the Elder Scrolls series (which I played all since Daggerfall) and Fallout 3 (which is not a real Fallout game, not even a pale imitation). Bethesda just cannot write stories and characters, they always come up with the usual predictable and boring stuff. There's not a spark of life in the worlds they create.

That's where you're wrong. They're exactly the same. Fallout 3 is basically Oblivion with guns. And hats.

Some think that when it's announced it could be released as early as Christmas.

A next gen fallout would be immense, loved every one of them, all the way from the original.

Only played fallout 3 and New Vegas, and actually enjoyed them.  I then went and bought the last Oblivion game and didn't like it one bit.  Found the block/parry/attack sword play to be fickle and it seemed like everything I needed was SUPER expensive.  Maybe didn't give it a fair crack, but never liked it.

Would certainly upgrade to a next Gen Console for Fallout 4

The 'Rock that castle' level of Rayman Legends is easily the best thing of all time.

How far into it is it?

Or is it the one where rock music plays in time to the level? If so its pretty cool. There's another one later with more classical music which is also really good.

Yeah it's the one to Black Betty. Really fun when you're expecting the last level to be an absolute bar steward.

The first games I got when I was a kid on the original playstation were Crash Bandicoot and Rayman. Some quality nostalgia.

Must admit I expected nothing from Rayman when I got it for free from the Xbox Store as I've never played any before but it's been really good.
