February 13, 201511 yr On the Evolve DLC, I didn't even know there was any until I saw all the raging about it on STeam reviews. As far as I cans ee it's pretty much just skins for things. Nothing interesting. DOn't see the fuss.
February 13, 201511 yr Cheers FC. Is it more like COD missions where you just go from A to B (despite missions being tweaked here and there they're all the same) or is it more open world? Can you just walk around the city exploring? The missions are pretty linear, not open world because you're playing out the story (there are no side quests) it's not all narrow hallways though and some areas are worth having an explore to find additional supplies to help you with game (you have to find supplies to craft first aid kits, bombs, find ammunition etc). I don't know if you've played any of them but it's a lot like the Uncharted games (also developed by Naughty Dog) but with a more serious narrative and more realistic combat.

Nothing interesting. DOn't see the fuss. The fuss is, if the DLC is available on day one, why isn't in the game? It's not like games are cheap so why make your customers pay extra for content if it's already been developed? It's just a rip off basically.
February 13, 201511 yr Ignore Blublur, unless it's got flashing pretty lights it can't hold his attention. Indeed. But I gave it a good go, probably got about half way through the story. But I play games to be entertained, and in that respect it failed miserably. Majoras Mask 3DS tonight. Hyped. Yeah buddy! Amazon tells me it's been delivered. I'm leaving the office at 4.30 to get my hands on it. Such a dark, sad game, never played anything like it.

I believe Nintendo have confirmed that it's on the right lines too. Edited February 13, 201511 yr by JoeyN
February 14, 201511 yr Kind of got addicted to Hotline Miami again, been replaying the levels for the best week trying to achieve the top score on all the levels and do some of the other random achievements. Finished them all of tonight for my 11th Platinum on Playstation.
February 14, 201511 yr I find that I just can't get interested in that sort of game any more. I know they are mostly indie games by very small teams so it's great they've made anything at all, and graphics shouldn't matter that much if the gameplay/story is good, but I've got an expensive PC, but a gameboy.
February 14, 201511 yr I find some indies to be more interesting and challenging than the AAA titles which can play it safe and feel a bit too stale and familiar at times. I don't play indies for extensive periods but they're a nice change of pace from time to time.
February 14, 201511 yr Has anyone here beat Alien: Isolation? Thinking of getting it but not sure it's worth $40

I don't play indies for extensive periods but they're a nice change of pace from time to time. Agree with this, 2 of my favourite next gen games so far are Max:curse of brotherhood and guacamelee. Both had gameplay over amazing graphics and were better for it.
February 14, 201511 yr Has anyone here beat Alien: Isolation? Thinking of getting it but not sure it's worth $40 Is £19.99 on the PS store on offer. It's a fantastic game
February 14, 201511 yr Just played Episode 1 of Life is Strange. Pretty good, would recommend it. Only £4 on Steam.
February 16, 201511 yr Hi guys just bought Dragon age: Inquisition. I've gone to that online site so I can import my choices from the previous games but I can't remember for the life of me what they are? So my question do you think it is still worth doing it is the default world state good enough anyway?
February 16, 201511 yr Turns out The Order is short and around 5 hours long... http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2015-02-16-ready-at-dawn-responds-to-concern-over-the-order-1886s-campaign-length 5 hours including cutscenes... It's barely 3 hours of gameplay. You can get it to around 9-12 if you spend time looking for collectibles to "flesh out the story" Anyone who is considering picking this up... wait a few weeks. With no multiplayer this games price will drop stupidly fast, particularly pre-owned.

I was waiting for the reviews to come out first before making a decision. Dying Light is out as a physical release the week after this comes out and so even if the campaign is short, as long as it is enjoyable I'll probably pick it up and look to trade it in within a couple of weeks for Dying Light. Considering this game has been delayed for over 6 months it would seem strange for it to have such a short playing time... I guess we only have a couple of days to wait to find out.

Majora' s Mask is keeping me entertained in the mean-time anyway.
February 17, 201511 yr Mega sale coming for us cool dudes with Xbones http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/xbox-one-ultimate-game-sale-starts-18th-feb-2015-2145458
February 17, 201511 yr Speaking of which, I'm still unsure about which next gen console to get around the time of my birthday in early April. I'd normally go for the Xbox, but the graphics are attracting me to the PS4. Anyone that has both or has played on both, is there much of a difference?
February 17, 201511 yr Getting a bit bored with Evolve already I had such high hopes for it. Wouldn't be the first game on the new generation consoles that has failed to come anywhere near to the hype. Destiny and this seemed to ride high on a wave of good marketing.

I don't think there's enough of a difference in the graphics to be a deciding factor. A newer TV would be the biggest improvement for most people. The best option in my opinion is whatever people had previous gen is best for them this time too. They're used to the interface and have all their progress in other games etc to build on.

Currently more games for Xbox, but that will change. Basically get whichever your mates have got or whichever has the exclusives you like better.

Yep, I was leaning slightly towards Xbox due to what most of my mates play, but if the PS4's graphics were significantly better I'd lean towards that instead. I'll probably go with Xbox.
