If it was that we were to loan him back to Genk, then they'd obviously want him to be available to play against us. We might not have been so much in favour of that. I think that is where the deal breaks down.

I think that is where it was too, at least according to what Star was saying.

If Genk was not in our group, KDB could be on our team already.

To be honest though, for highly regarded KDB is, I though we were bidding way too low to get a kid away from a UCL team that is going to rely on his talent. Unless he puts up an unimaginable amount of goals that makes Citeh buy him, I think we'll get him either in January or next July.

Time we pulled our finger out and signed him yet? Or is this another Robinho story when we tout a player enquire about them and fanny around and let our rivals take the no nonsense approach and sign them leaving us with egg on our faces.

Has looked the part in the Belgian league, but then again..that's the Belgian league. He was pretty poor when they played us the other week, so I imagine he'd need at least a full season out on loan in the PL before he'd be ready for our first team, like Lukaku needs really.

If we signed him in Jan he'd be cup tied in the CL anyway, so it would be a good time to start getting him some experience, i'm sure there would be a few PL clubs who;d be happy to take him for 5-6 months.

I thought he was one of the few who played ok for them, his head dropped a bit in the end but played some useful balls for them.

I must admit I wasn't impressed with him when he was at the Bridge, and I'm not impressed by numbers from the Belgian League.

I reserve judgement until Wednesday night, but I would say at this point he wouldn't be in the top 5 cheap wingers I'd be looking to bringing to the club.

I thought he looked good too. I am curious as to who your 5 wingers are. I know you are a Reus fan, but I think he could end up being pricy, maybe in the range of what Ramires cost.

Totally agree. He did very little over the two legs. Lot of hype - little more than that.

Not saying much though Barak. Malouda/De Bruyne? Neither looked good enough for where we want to go.

They'd cost 30-40+ million though. And De Bruyne was around 8-10m i think when we were in for him.

He was steady, but considering that this was his chance in the shop window, didn't do enough to convince me.

Might be worth another bite at Adam Johnson. We nearly tied him up when he was at Middlesborough. An agreement with Boro was reached for a fee of around £5.5mill with a loan back for the remainder of the season,then Sheikh Moneybags at City barged in and took him for £8 million with an immediate move. We weren't prepared to match that price............................. or so the story goes

I'd take Johnson, but I doubt sh*tty would sell to us.
