Jose signs new contract with Real Madrid

Featured Replies

This means we can give Robbie a few seasons, and if it works out - fantastic, if it doesn't - hopefully Jose will be ready for a return to England then ;)

People need to stop hoping for a Jose return. We take the piss out of Liverpool fans for always looking in the past, wanting Rafa back, etc... Jose had his time here, it was great, let's move on to great times with someone else.

Good, hopefully people can now move on and realise Jose isnt returning, and if he does then theres a very good chance it would go very very wrong.

I think the Madrid board must finally see a good thing when they have one. A young, talented Madrid team just trampled over a team lauded as the best ever.

What's more, the way Jose is talking about managing Madrid ("this is the perfect challenge for me" "this makes me better as a coach" etc) seems to be different than his references to jobs in the past. Maybe he actually will stay there?

I'm surprised actually. There was a major fallout between him and the powers that be there mid season. Guess he's determined to win the CL there.

Castiel was this related to the media run-in's he had? I know he made himself an enemy of the press, but I didnt know the club were at odds with him.

Didn't he have some sort of row with the Spanish players there? Maybe the press, who don't like him, made it seem worse than it was. I'm no expert on the goings on there but I thought there was a major fallout.

I remember that when things were going badly the press seemed to swarm. There was that story about how Ramos and Casillas were ashamed by their "cowardly" tactics against Barca or something. That looked like the beginning of the end but then they stopped the rot.

Anyway, clearly Madrid can now "win pretty" against FCB so nobody seems too upset anymore. Whatever keeps him out of the clutches of the Mancs is good by me.
