I would imagine that lots of clubs inquired about him, then didn't follow up their initial interest! We probably had a look and then said no, thats not us being hot on him!

He actually rates us very much but Arsenal is a foreign home for French so it is very understandable. I really don't take this a snub. Anyway he'd have a hard time getting games here as he is a pure striker. This is a no-news for me.

If he is rubbish he will stay with the gooners if he turns out to be good he will join City.

Also he wouldnt turn us down, we just won the FA cup and the Champions league, what have Arsenal won in the last 7 years?

from SkySports:

"Chelsea is very nice, it is a great club, but I am not convinced Di Matteo knows who I am."

Would have he taken Torres' place in the team? I highly doubt it. I'd go as far as saying even Danny would have been in front of him.

He looks like a promising player and Arsenal is way better choice for him. He'd be sitting in the bench most of season.

To be fair this is the same bloke who said he joined Arsenal 'to win trophies'

You can tell he's new can't you.....

Oh damn, and we were all so desperate to see see us sign him too........ :laugh2:

Who?

:laugh2: Exactly.

Sorry we missed out on a one season wonder from Montpellier. We were too busy signing three of Europe's best young players.

If I was a player of above average quality I would sign for the gunners over us as he will get twice the game time there that he would here.

I mean hazard doesn't expect to start so giroud would have no chance of walking straight into the team.

He probably really wants to Play for city and we all know going to arsenal is the quickest way to get there

To be fair, he didnt bad mouth us in any way.

Assuming Lukaku goes on loan next season, Giroud would have been a useful back up option from the bench as he is a much more physical player than Torres or Danny
