His second goal against Bolton in 2005 - 'This could be the moment, Frank Lampard for Chelsea, it's Carvalho to his right, LAMPARD FOR THE TITLE - LAMPARD, IT'S 2-0 ITS CHELSEA'S CHAMPIONSHIP! And 50 years of waiting have finally come to an end - Frank Lampard seals the title for Chelsea'

Everyone was watching. He didn't let anyone down.

I don't tend to idolise footballers but for Frank I will make an exception.

A hard working professional. a genuinely decent guy and one of the greatest midfielders in the last 15 years.

My favourite player of the last decade, surely. England and Gerrard can f*ck off.

By the way, Gem, can you make another one of these about Terry, now that you've done Cole and Lampard?

Will the people who slagged him off for no good reason during the season pop up shamelessly to profess their loyalty now Robbie has got us a couple of pots?

Surely one for Drogba aswell, or have I missed that one?

The next one I'm doing is Pete's but I shall be doing more... mainly though boredom - not because I think people especially love my posts...!

To think I was down when drogba left. It will be a hell of a day when he leaves. Legend he will have a statue one day!

Have to admit, I was one who doubted Frank earlier in the season. But f**king hell did he prove me wrong. Best midfielder of his generation imo. He just seems to have no limits. True legend Frank, with no baggage either.

I think he started the season quite badly, but after being on the bench he returned and seemed to want to prove everyone wrong.

I criticise AVB for a lot of things, but he might have handled this one the right way.

But despite that bad period Lampard is one of the best players we've had.

avb was a nonsense. his management of lamps was arbitrary.

the bloke's a legend, end of story.

last season, even though he was clearly beyond his best, his influence on the pitch was key in us winning both the fa cup and the CL.

well done frank, you've done basically everything there is to do in the club game and you deserve it too.

Possibly the most under-appreciated player of the last 20 years or so. Spammers hated him but even they will have to admit through gritted teeth he was by far the best academy product they produced of the Tony Carr Golden Generation. Far Moreso than Rio, Carrick, Defoe, Johnson etc.

Others may not appreciate you Frank, but we always will at Chelsea

20 goals a season. Balls of steel. Boundless energy. Criminally underrated footballer. We probably won't realise just how lucky we were to have him until he's gone.

Yes g3.7, however I'm sure plenty of the 'I love Frank but he is finished and is dragging down the club by undermining AVB' posters would say they were never disloyal

Not to mention near 20 assists a season as well.
