Actually, I don't particularly like him. He's an exceptional talent, no question, but I think that people hear an idiot like Pele blather on about how he's better than Messi and conclude that he's a can't miss, future superstar. I have some reservations about his game that I shouldn't have for a player who's alleged to be better than the best player in the world.

No. If an official bid had been made that would be a top story and therefore it would be all over the internet, in the newspapers and on the television. Don't believe in these things unless they come from a reliable source (sky sports news etc...) because 99 times out of 100 these things are untrue.
