I actually think it's rather pointless comparing players who play in completely different positions, and some of these rankings are terrible, but there you go.

Those are awfully poor rankings. Rooney at #5? Suarez ahead of Tevez? Nani ahead of Mata? Not sure what justification there is for such a significant disparity between David Silva and Mata either. They're extremely similar players and Mata's first season in England was better than Silva's. I stopped reading after I got to Mata.

I agree with you in principle that ranking players irrespective of position is pointless, but even taking that into account these are bad.

I stopped at Jonny Evans, had a quick glance for Lucho Gonzalez, saw Sahin in the top 100 and Cavani ahead of Falcao and vomited furiously .

It's probably the work by the genius who ranked england as the 3rd best team in the world.

It's one persons opinion. It's of interest only if you're interested in what one individual thinks, and it it's impossible to say that any of it is right or wrong, because its that one person' opinion.

We should make our own list, possibly a top ten or twenty for each position.

This blokes opinion is worth nothing.
