Jose Returning to England.

Featured Replies

Jose Mourinho says he will return to English football when his reign as Real Madrid manager ends, but the Portuguese insists he is happy at the Bernabeu.

While the ex-Chelsea boss is contracted to Real until 2016, he feels his next job will be back in the Premier League. "I just say openly that, for many reasons, after this the next step will be England," the 49-year-old told CNN. "When? I don't know, I don't have an idea. I'm so happy in this moment to be manager of the best club in the world."

His side missed out on the Spanish league title to Barcelona in his first season but got the better of them a year later. That meant Mourinho could add the La Liga crown to the two apiece he won with Inter (2008-10), Chelsea (2004-06) and Porto (2002-04).

He has been mentioned as a potential successor to Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United, but Mourinho says he would rather the Scot still be in charge at Old Trafford when he returns to Britain.

"The perfect scenario is when I go there he is still coach," said Mourinho. "Because football will lose a lot when he stops. "For me, he is the boss. I call him the boss because he is the boss of the coaches and I hope when I go back to English football he is still manager of Manchester United."

Mourinho led Porto to Champions League glory before taking over at Chelsea, winning two league titles, an FA Cup and two League Cups. He made a shock exit from Stamford Bridge in 2007 after his relationship with Blues owner Roman Abramovich grew troubled. But when asked if he would consider working under the Russian at Chelsea again, Mourinho replied: "Of course, of course. "It was a perfect example of a fantastic divorce. We are a lot in touch. We have a great relationship."

Who do we think he will go to?

The amount of times this same story gets printed as news is baffling. The same story gets printed every few months lol.

I reckon with this latest one he is touting out for a return or else the City job I reckon.

Letting them know he is there.

I'd hate to see him back in England tbh, so many good memories of Jose with us that I don't want another club fighting against us to have.

It would be like Drogba playing against us for another English side, it just wouldnt be right in my eyes.

Mind games from Jose as usual. He knows when Madrid now faces an English side this will be brought up, and they just happen to be playing City soon.

I don't think its that inconceivable that he may even return here. Don't get me wrong, I'd still expect him to be managing one of the Manchesters as I'm not convinced that Roman would want to admit to his prior mistake by resigning Jose. But by all accounts the two are on good terms again; Roman apparently even kept Essien aside for Jose as a personal favour.

But then I suppose that might just be wishful conjecture on my part. Whatever the case, the likelier scenarios are that either RDM or Guardiola are managing us by the time Jose decides to call it quits at Madrid.

I certainly believe that when that time comes, he will be filling old fergies boots (unfortunately). There can only ever be one boss at chelsea and his name is ROMAN

He said just a few days ago that he hoped SAF will still be at Man Utd when he returns here to England.

I would not be surprised to see him back here, either us or City.

I love him dearly, and he is one of if not the greatest manager in the world. However at the moment Robbie D is surprising me every day and long may that continue

I would murder somebody just to get that legend back. Would like to see him again as our manager and RDM as his assistent.

Bit extreme mate

If Robbie can keep going in this direction we may finaly have what we have always wanted, a long term managierial solution and with it the stability to push younger players through, he has showen some major stuff thus far:

A) His teams can find a way to win against the odds, barca, bayarn napoli.

b) His teams can win the big games - see above and add liverpool in the cup, arsneal the other week.

c) He's not stuck in his ways and he learns lessons. UInderstanding that we wernt gettting enough from rami on the right and putting him in the middle.

Even after the CL win I didnt think Robbie was the right man for the job, he was however the only man, not always the same thing! I believed are name was on the cup and I only need to point to rafa as an example of a manager that can get lucky riding the crest of a wave.

If Jose was in charge of this chelsea team I would be very confident of a title win this year, united really do win through the pure force of fergies will and City have manchini which is more of a hinderence then a help.

Winning the league is about getting the best out of your squad on a consisten basis, week in week out. Jose and Fergi are masters of this, Wengers not bad... the league is the acid test. Keep going the way he is and all talk of Jose will be banished

I think he wants the United job but would take the City job if they paid him enough. I dont see him ever being our manager again.
