45 Points with a game in hand

I do find prediction threads quite pointless but I wanted to make this one to see where people thought we'd be at the end of the Christmas period and my predictions show that we'd be third, seven points behind Manchester United but with a game in hand whilst City sit between the two only three points behind Manchester United with the same amount of games played.

If we can stay in the top 3 during Xmas then it will be good.

Tough games coming up which will shape our season (CL and EPL).

Agreed, should we decide to buy an out and out striker (Falcao) do you think this would impact us winning the title?

Anywhere between 1 and 5. If we win all our games 1 otherwise we could slip to 5th. With the quality we have even tho Torres is not firing only city should pose a threat however the way we have been playing it could be anything.

I think that we can start picking up better results again when our creative trio are rested. How good was Mata when he came back from his rest? Says it all in my opinion.

Of course.

A Huntelaar type striker would mean games like yesterday would be 3 points instead of 1.

I would think the table will stay the same from now till the end of the season. maybe moving up and down here and there but will end up how the top 3 stands now.

Wasn't Mata recalled though? He wont get the rest and surely Hazard and Oscar will be playing on their NT's as well. Part of the problem of having to play all of these tournaments. Wish they beat Utd in the Prem match and lost Carling (or whatever it is called now?)...

Still, I think Chelsea will be in third position by Christmas and probably the same in May. Hopefully there is a trophy or two to show for. The squad is just getting to know one another and will be lethal in due time. Rome wasn't built in a day and a fresh younger Chelsea wont either. Missing some pieces of the puzzle but it is looking quite promising and there are loads of talent on loan and in the academy too...

Sunderland and norwich away may be quite dodgy for us..IMO

Much depends on major injuries, referee's competence to give what is just, not what the perceive we deserve, (Clattenberg & Webb) Hopefully we will maintain our present position or better come the New Year & May 19th.

Arsenal above us???! I have bet that the gooners will finish outside the top 4 this season.

You will probably lose that one.. just look at last year, I think they were much lower at this stage of the season, and look where have they finished..

And the guy who saved them last season is now at United. They dont have RVP's goals to fluke them a win anymore. Unless they do some good business in January i really do think they will finish 6th behind Everton and Spurs.

Arsenal will not finish above us...don't be stupid.

They are far weaker than what they were last season while we are stronger so I don't see that logic at all....

You do realise we have beaten them on their own patch and they have dropped a crazy amount of points to lesser teams?

Mental logic.

Arsenal got bossed on their own pitch by Fulham. As soon as Kacaniklic came on, they were overwhelmed. Fulham. Kacaniklic. Think about that. I will eat a hat on skype video chat if they finish above us.

Thanks for pinning up games.

Arsenal have got issues, I see Tottenham spanking them this weekend resulting in them finishing outside the top 4. I foresee the mighty Chelsea in 3rd spot at Xmas with striker reinforcements arriving in Jan resulting in a hotly contested 2nd spot finish with one of the Manchesters - well that's where my money is anyway...:-)

I think we'll be third at xmas, and the same at the end of the season, which considering the massive change in playing staff and style is pretty good in my book.

If we were to win a trophy along the way great, if not hey ho, can't win something EVERY year.

I will be disappointed if we dont win the club championship in decemeber. Its such a rare thing to win. If we dont win the league this year so be it, im not expecting us to win the CL this year as you need a hell of a lot of luck.

For Robbie's sake i hope we win something that makes the board happy other wise i think we will be in for yet another manager change this summer.

With the schedule Robbie was fuming with I doubt many first pick players will be used as a top 4 finish is a must.

I reckon we may see the likes of Marin, Moses, Studge, Romeu and the likes play in this.

I really do hope its taken seriously. It could be a once in a life time thing for most fans. It would be nice for our players as i dont think any of our squad have that medal. I could be wrong of course but I cant think of any.
