The Fear

Featured Replies

Does anybody know what I'm talking about?

And who's getting it?

I've certainly got it.

It's called The Fear ..

And it's right f**king with my head right now.

We all have it, but those of it who have progressed beyond Rugrathood never talk about it. We walk tall, keep our fears deeply hidden within our innermost vaults, but pray every night to the gods of justice to remove the plague from our midst.

Do u mean the fear Rafa will be given the job permanently?

There's always someone who has to kick the fear right out into the open!  I was managing to repress it till you said that!

I have the fear and its ruining every game, every visit to the internet, every glance at a newspaper, every football related conversation.

It really has ruined the season for me, what was such an enjoyable exciting promising time has been hijacked by somebody who will take credit for other peoples achievements, every article has something about the progress the team is making under him but for me the Chelsea of August September would have won today by the same sort of margin as we did and I would expect us to have beaten Fulham, West Ham and Corinthians on the way.

We'll do ok with him in charge, the players we have make that a cert but he doesn't deserve this squad nor any additions to it in January.

Anyone in his place would bring back some enjoyment for me that I can't get with him here.

If we win all our remaining games of the season 8-0...

...Then i would accept him taking up a permanent role as waiter in the stadium restaurant.

Think positive - Mourinho, Falcao in Chelsea jerseys suits, holding lots of trophies such as the champions league, league title and Fa cup..

Along with the fear, maybe we can also have the dream.

Jose will soon be finished in Madrid, and he will come back home where he belongs. I believe

That's exactly how I'm feeling, so glad I'm not alone. I hate this season, I hate losing and now I hate winning.

Please make this season end soon.

I don't have the fear, I'm blocking it out.

This year has been a special year for us, I am not going to let him spoil it.

This is a real man!! Rugrat, this is what you should aspire to!

The trick here is to adopt a form of DoubleThink. Take yesterday's game. Great performance, several more milestones in Frank Lampard's incredible Chelsea career, Piazon making his Premiership team debut, Oscar scoring his first Premiership goal. There are numerous positives to be drawn, and only one negative.

Things to do include not watching Press Conferences, or even bothering to read the write-ups. Who cares what the interim manager has to say? It's all bollocks. We know that, he knows that. Everyone knows that. The club is and always will be far bigger than his fat lardy arse. Even if the unthinkable does happen, it's still only a matter of time before he's shown the door.

He's not Chelsea, he'll never be Chelsea. No matter how much he manages to improve his CV while in the employ of Roman Abramovich, he still won't be Chelsea.

DoubleThink?  Excellent!  I think this must be your feminine side talking, Tommy!  Brilliantly analysed!

Interesting. So if the concept of DoubleThink is indicative of the feminine side, should I take it that Orwell's 1984 is in its entirely a veiled critique of feminine wiles?

He wanted to call it Big Sister, but the public wasn't quite ready for that...
