February 13, 201412 yr When was the last time Torres or Eto'o didn't score from open play? Ive never had them down as free kick or penalty takers wrong use of words. Not open play, but more or less not having to face their backs to goal... At Chelsea, the cf role is different than other teams... TBH, torres, ba and eto are better than lukaku for the role. Lukaku might be more prolific and young, etc, but not someone mourinho will like to lead the line.

February 13, 201412 yr as does Jose.... or Lukaku is 20 years old and is too young to play for Chelsea. Torres Eto'o and Ba between them have won Serie A, La Liga, Champions League, World cup, Europa League, Fa cup, Italian cup so if i were to guess why Lukaku is on loan i would think its because he needs to get experience whereas we already have 3 very experienced strikers

I guess what my argument is is that we have some very very experienced strikers and for all Lukaku's potential, he doesn't have this experience

Jose picked oscar, hazard and willian over mata..... Who has the most exp???? chelsea showcasing lukaku to sell him
February 13, 201412 yr At age 20, and having had almost zero international or Champions league experience compared to Torres or Eto'o, Jose loaned Lukaku out to get more experience of first team top flight English football. On a separate issue Jose picked Oscar, Hazard and Willian over Mata, not because of experience (all these attacking midfielders have a fairly similar level of experience) Jose chose them because the ones he kept work harder, are more athletic and do more work defensively

All that experience really made casillas a valuable player under mourinho...
February 13, 201412 yr You guys are really naive... Just like how people were naive to think KDB was going to be relevant for Chelsea or how mata would excel under Jose... The signs are all there. Edited February 13, 201412 yr by Eligius
February 13, 201412 yr And he chose torres because he works harder than lukaku....As does ba and eto... All that experience really made casillas a valuable player under mourinho... I just told you that Jose loaned out Lukaku because he was inexperienced and we sold Mata because Jose thought Willian , Hazard and Oscar work harder . What don't you understand? Do you just dislike Jose Mourinho because you keep questioning his decisions. As for Casillas, even now Ancelotti doesn't rate him and plays Diego Lopez.. maybe Lopez is better than Casillas?

We loaned him out cause mourinho doesnt really rate him... and was an excuse not to sell him.. Just like we didnt sell kdb and mata asap due to the potential backlash fans would give Jose.. WHAT DISLIKE? WHAT DECISIONS? WHAT are u talking about.... When did I say anything against Jose decisions??? PLEASE TELL ME.

When did I say anything against Jose decisions??? PLEASE TELL ME. What backlash are u on about? there has been zero backlash over the sales of KDB or Mata. Maybe we were upset to see Mata leave but i think everyone supports jose's decision. And i think unless you have proof that Mourinho 'doesn't really rate' Lukaku you should accept the fact that he is out on loan because he is 20 years old, same reason he was out on loan last season under different management

Now oscar, hazard and company carried the load without mata, so fans will feel less against jose... People need to see the idea before they can believe in the idea. had jose sold mata in the summer last year, everyone would keep saying if, but after half a season without mata being relevant, fans understood jose plan and idea.
February 13, 201412 yr Why would there be a backlash for selling someone who'd never even played for us? KDB was hardly a fan favourite...
February 13, 201412 yr are people forgetting that the drog was only starting to win titles and cups at the age of 25! before then he was performing well scoring regular goals to earn his move to the bridge. lukaku is only 20 and has not had the experience to justify inheriting the drog's mantle. at this present time every club are on the make to hoover up the best potential talents but this does not mean they will make it or they are getting there but need time which the drog certainly had to become the legend that he is at the bridge.
February 13, 201412 yr Maybe we need an Eto'o type more than his type. Not sure if Lukaku can hold the ball in the box the way Samu does...we've seen Jose sell our best player because he didn't fit the system. Not sure if Romelu is our guy tbh. If he is willing to play as one of the 3 strikers instead of being the number one welcome back but otherwise I'm not so sure. I really hope Eto'o stays for another season as well. His experience is starting to show in a good way.
February 13, 201412 yr as does Jose....Does he, I suppose he told you over a coffee in his office did he.

February 13, 201412 yr similarly mate, anyone who hops on with unhelpful comments lacking any form of constructive discussion and opts instead for haphazard and scatter-gun arguments needs both a slap, and a job. thanks for coming, back out to sea you go you absolute darwinism contradiction. troll on dear pond life. troll on. Did you just Google "The Little Boy's Book of Internet Insults"? Go on, you did, didn't you? It's not a bad thing, lots of posters do it. Oh, and I'm not your "mate" by the way
February 13, 201412 yr You guys are really naive... Just like how people were naive to think KDB was going to be relevant for Chelsea or how mata would excel under Jose... The signs are all there. Because we have the equivelent of Oscar/Hazard up top - I mean how do you even compare KdB and Mata compeating with those two to Lukaku compeating with Ba/Torres(Eto'o as far as I know is already agreed to return to Mallorca). Next year there is no World Cup, thus being a second striker would be suitable for Lukaku. The real problem for him would be having to compeate with someone like Cavani/Suarez - compeating with a Costa type striker there is chances for him to stake his claim. Anyway people writting him off before a run at the club are silly - as silly as the ones who wrote of Sturridge before he ever had a run in his favorite position. February 14, 201412 yr I just think this Eligius poster is a wind up merchant. Hopefully I'm wrong and they have some insightful and interesting comment which i am all for. There is no problem for our supporters having a different view it happens all the time and its completely welcome. I know sometimes i abuse my Shed End account and perhaps i should post more often than i do i just can't help but feel this Eligius has been on most of the recent threads and seems to be trying to wind up people. Again hopefully I'm wrong
