Congrats to the Dippers

You see liverpool in 2nd place, then you see west ham and southampton in 3rd and 4th place, kind of puts things in a bit more of a logical perspective.

I do love how giddy Spuds and the Dippers are getting.  Most of their fans I've spoken to have been talking as if they're genuinely competing for the title.  Try and get into the CL first boys.

Spurs yet to score in open play this season, I think they need to reign in the expectations a little.

As for Liverpool, they haven't played anyone yet that will give them a challenge. Their weekend fixture will give them a measure of how good they really are.

Still going to be hoping Liverpool gets something on Sunday.  United are always going to be in it, I don't mind letting Liverpool have their fun three games in.  The table will look quite different by game 38.

A Liverpool win (say it quietly) would be a very good result for us but even a draw would see them trailing us by 2 points.

At such an early stage United wouldn't want to be playing catch up in any way and they have some tricky fixture right up to the end of September.

It is happening. I'm habitually cautious about Spurs, from experience. Using a cliche, we have a newly-minted squad who may not yet be a team. We look good on paper and if we gel and can create more chances, then fourth place is a realistic target. I can't see us getting higher than that unless other teams lose it.

I think that most Spuds would be content with fourth, provided that the Gooners were below. It would be a sign of progress.

I think they can pull off 2nd place

I've got more chance of being pulled off by Cheryl Cole, even if they finish second

Extra praise must be given to them for successfully managing to give away a 2 goal lead at home to Notts County. Whilst fielding a very strong side I must add.

I have a Spud friend, non stop bumping his gums over their start to the season.

He really hates me winding him up, so I did, and pointed out that they failed to score from open play against the bottom 2 in the table.
