We all know that we are now struggling with GOOD options up front but I think just having costa as our main striker is not very good. Drogba is a legend but I don't think he was the answer to our prayers. I've already said bony of Swansea City would be a great signing and I think our options up front would be sorted. But then we only really have two out and out centre backs, terry and Cahill, two very experienced defenders and yes we have zouma but I don't think he's experienced enough and I guess we have ivanovic but we all know what happened when we played swansea in the capital 1 cup under Benitez and Terry will not be able to play week in week out and champion league games. But I don't know who we could get for a good price. Well you can see the dilemma were in but let's hope we can win something this season. But what we should all remember there is also a January transfer window which we could do more business in so it all doesn't have to be done at once. But on the other hand we need one more player, Centre back or striker I'm not fussed as long as we get one I'm happy:).

We are a bit short at full-back. We have three players covering two of the most physically demanding positions, one of whom is also serving as cover at centre back. I think Aké can probably count on getting a couple of starts this season.

Bony seems the sensible striker solution...available for about £15m and established in EPL already. Only issue would be if he went off to ACON in January/February.

I think we can get by without another defender this season. Mourinho doesn't like to rotate them, and it isn't really necessary at CB unless somebody is injured. Terry will surely miss some time, but we've got Ivanovich and Zouma. At fullback we've got Dave, Luis, Ivan and Ake. Jose didn't seem to rotate much there last season either and Dave and Ivan coped very well. Since we tend to stick with a stable defensive selection unless forced by injury, I think we're fine. This may be Terry's last season with us though, in which case we'll be needing a quality CB in the next window. Since Lukaku has left our striker situation is looking tenuous once again.

Perhaps we could get buy with the CB we got but back up striker is a must go.

Benzema just signed a new contract at Real Madrid

Costa will be the first pick, Drogba will play a fair amount of games, Torres will chip in for the cup games. If one injured, the other guys step up, then there are Cesc and Schurlle. Sorry, don't see the possibility of an established striker come in and sit on the bench or worse every week.

Still think we could do with a Back up striker and possibly a CM.
 

I see the Benatia rumors are starting back up so if that has any merit whatsoever, maybe we're in for another defender. I'd personally rather see us ship off Torres, get a replacement in and promote Bamford

do not want that benatia or whatever he's called and apparently 30m for him is way too much. Not seen him play but we're definitely adequately covered in that area. Remy seems the only sensible option to me. offers something different to costa imo

I don't think lukaku was sold for strictly footballing reasons. I also think bony's link up play and touch are way better than lukaku's.

I disagree i think they are quite similar just Bony is slightly better but he is 5 years older. I understand Lukaku wasn't sold just on footballing reasons but still would make little sense in buying Bony and selling Lukaku.
