Which squad will deliver the title?

Featured Replies

Who has the best and how will the top 4 look like this season?

These are the top teams squads in Epl.

Each time I look at the teams I get confused on how the top 4 will look

City

Chelsea

United

Arsenal

That's my gut feeling.

If we added another striker I'd swap us and City.

arsenal will be challenging this season and i think they have a fantastic chance. They have the likes of walcott to come back in and going forward they are ridiculous. Still think they could be  found out with teams playing right through them though as they have utterly failed to address the CM position. Chambers when played at CB pre season has looked f**king rock solid.

im not sure about city this season. united will be right up there in the top 4.

I dont think we will win the title, and will go as far as to say that i think we will finish third

Arsenal /City

Chelsea

United

You are having a laugh if you think Arsenal are going to win the title. They are world class bottlers.

We are gonna win the title, and we will probably be battling with City all the way to the end for it.

dont think i am and to dismiss them out of hand is blind ignorance. they were right in the mix until around march and were un-done by injuries. If they buy a decent CB and a CM then they have a fantastic chance. Sanchez is an incredible player and could make the difference by chipping in with goals when giroud gets cooked from playing too many games. Ozil coming off the back of a good world cup. Walcott coming back will make a huge difference with ridiculous pace. Their attacking threat is nothing short of excellent.

mark my words they will be right up there this season and will be stronger than last year.

we will not be winning the title if we rely on one striker to get us through a league and CL campaign

were un-done by injuries.

Yeah arsenal fans have been saying this for like 9 years.

I don't think you can blame injuries for being destroyed by 5 plus goals twice (or more?).

I'll bet you £100 Arsenal wont win the title.

And they just took apart a city b team with their own b team.

Let's wait and see how it goes before dismissing anyone before a f**king ball is kicked

I have read the post, the one where you put Arsenal first.

Care to take the bet?

hah

It clearly says arsenal / city

I'll up you to 500 quid that we won't win the league

Care to take the bet?

Let's not go down the betting against us route guys lol.

It's going to be a tough season and for the first time in a long time 4 or 5 teams can actually win the title it's that close.

Luck as much as anything else will no doubt play a huge part so it's impossible to be sure what will happen.

IF Costa stays fit and available we stand a fantastic chance....I still need that extra striker though to change my view!

Erm, like you are dismissing our own chances??

Erm, like you are dismissing our own chances??

Erm, like, yeah.

As I have said before, my opinion (the whole point of a message forum I thought), is that if we go into a league campaign with one top level striker in our squad who will bear the burden of Champions League, League, and arguably latter stages of the FA cup, then I believe that we will struggle for goals towards the end of the season.

By saying that I think we are short is not a barometer of my support for the team. As i have pointed out on several threads previously, my support is measured, and has been for some years, by my ownership of a season ticket and my attendance at all home games and as many away games as I can make it to. I supported chelsea and attended games in the days before the money arrived, so by saying that I think we are short does not make me some kind of traitor to the club.

We are short in attack. We were short last season and ultimately it was our un-doing. We are better off with our first choice striker, but if we rely on him to get us through the entire season, then I dont see us winning the league. I think that other teams are better stocked in terms of striking options, and fundamentally it is goals that will win you games.

It's my opinion. It doesn't mean it is any less valid than yours. I assume you'll be showing your support at the bridge too this season stim.

To clarify, my opinion is that Arsenal have a good chance at the league this year and it wouldnt surprise me to see them battling it out with city right at the end of the campaign.

Yeah, well I'm allowed to dismiss Arsenal just as much as you are to dismiss ourselves. The whole 'waiting to kick a ball' first doesn't just apply to me.

Not saying you CAN'T have your opinion, just don't tell me I can't have mine for a reason you don't adhere to yourself. No need to be so confrontational.

Arsenal will do an Arsenal. They will be in it around new year, maybe even top then as usual they'll tail off and become nearly irrelevant in the race by march. Like clockwork.

City will win it. Theyre stacked all over the field. Maybe a bit suspect gk but stil good enough to win it

At no stage did I ever dismiss your opinion, nor did I say anywhere that you CANT have yours. Not sure how you construed it in such a manner but for what it's worth, I apologise for hurting your feelings stim, it was not the intention.

You have your opinion, and I have mine. No confrontation in sight.

If costa stays fit and suspension free and has the stamina of a doped lance Armstrong then yes we have a chance

I don't see it working out that way I'm afraid.

So youre dismissing us due to only having one top striker, but then backing Arsenal who only have Giroud? Arsenal will continue to miss out on the top prizes simply because of the lack of fight and confidence when it comes to the sharp end of the season, completely down to Wenger.

I would have City slight favourites ahead of us, but if Fabregas and Costa can click then we will edge it.

Chelsea

City

Arsenal

United

I truly believe we will in the title this year, just have a guy feeling. I'm not too concerned about a the forwards as I was because I truly believe of we have to we'll dip in the market in January,

I'm feeling confident about us, Costa and Fabregas make us look like a whole new team.

Matic is looking the business too and so our midfield problems are hopefully gone.

I also think Schurrle could have a big season so our attack is looking pretty good and I don't think we are going to struggle with breaking down sides like last season.

Us top then City, Arsenal third with United fourth. Liverpool to struggle with the demands of Europe and the league and not being able replace Suarez, they're the only team to have sold a top player rather than add one.

Fully agree with liverpool to struggle. Their sh*t defence last year masked by the prolific rat boy and Sturridge, the former having not yet been adequately replaced

Hope they get thumped

Like I said before, they will surprise a few people and writing them off is dangerous. Sanchez can play up top and is ridiculously lethal in front of goal. I can see them coming steaming out the blocks and putting up a f**king good fight this year.

I hate them as much as the next, doesn't mean I will dismiss them out of hand based on previous years. If anything they've improved and if they can avoid demoralising hammerings at the hands of other top four teams this season then they're in with a shout

I say this assuming they will not be f**king stupid enough to go into a season without a destroyer at cm and a new, quality cb. Plug those gaps and all of a sudden they look like a match for anyone.
