Ronaldo to Chelsea

Featured Replies

Surely there's nothing in this but I read that we may be vying with United for Ronaldo next summer.

Granted this is coming from the express but I've heard it in 2/3 other places.

Why would we spend so much on a 29 year old winger, I know he's amazing but even so, would we really sign him?

Thoughts guys please.

beats me, could it be something to do with him being the best player on the planet? lol

This would never happen, he would join utd if he was to come back to England.

That's what I thought but who knows? There is a lot of politics in football is all politics and appears murky behind the scenes in many ways, it could all just be posturing.

Tiky taky? Ronaldo doesn't play that style, he's about pace and raw power.

Which is why I prefer him to Messi, he has everything in terms of ability.

Gossip columns today saying Real Madrid are going to come out and publicly announce he will not be joining either Chelsea or United, according to the Telegraph (via BBC).

1. He has already said he could only play for United in England.

2. United have far more resources to bring him there than we do.

3. He's reaching or is already 30, why spend £300k a week for that.

4. It's not gunna happen.

/thread.

Agree, but that didn't stop people making the same criticism about Diego Costa just because he was from Spain!

Erm no one said that about Costa lol

Please NO!

Torres-fanboys who invaded us from Liverpool, and continued their way to Milan are enough. I don't want an CR7-army supporting Chelsea just because of CR.

He is old, not needed and at the same time overrated.

Hmm think it's very rash to call him overrated.

He's the second best or best (depending on your view) players in the world. He's a world class footballer and would easily be our best player was he to sign.

It's a non story though.

He will join United if he leaves Madrid.

Will never happen. Plus, he is a fantastic player, but he'll turn 30 in a few months and who knows how quickly he'll decline. Not worth spending the money touted.
