Not just because he's goal but I went for matic. Great performance

Voted Matic myself. Didn't put a foot wrong. Felt like schurrle could of had a couple of goals tonight. We carved them open but my god we wasted some chances!

I voted for Matic, but it was a total team effort out there today by the lads. Only one dark spot & that was the finishing by Schurrle. Still the guy runs to the sun for fun.

Matic by a distance. Thought he was a bit quiet this past few matches but tonight he was back to his dominant best.

Matic, not had the best of starts to the season considering his form when we signed him in January but back to his best tonight, long may it continue.

Can't see further than Matic although I thought Oscar had another very good game and had he taken that chance (which he should have hit with a bit more conviction) and seen the game out he would have got my vote.

Matic but I thought Willian was excellent when he came on

Great team performance and if it hadn't been for their keeper, who had an absolute blinder we would have won by 4 or 5. Really enjoyed the game and how well we played, even though the second half turned a bit nervey and you could always see them nicking an undeserved equaliser.

 

MOTM has to be Matic. Not for the goal, he was just a beast throughout, but there were very decent performances from quite a few last night.

 

Oh and enjoyed the ref's performance too. He didn't buckle under the pressure of the home crowd and although some might have found it irritating, I found his smiling and character quite refreshing and much better than the usual "robot" type refs.

Took advantage and voted for both Matic and Oscar, thought both were excellent.

 

edit: and agree with Nibs on the ref, can't remember the last time we had such a good ref in Europe, didn't blow for silly little pushes or shoves, and let the game flow.

Magic again, awesome. And agree with nibs, I thought the ref was excellent mostly, though he should have been on top of the kicking hazard got.

Matic for me!!

Matic, closely followed by Fabregas and Oscar.

Their keeper had a great game but for us has to be Matic. Good to see Oscar getting a bit of form and consistency back, taking responsibility for making things happen as well as the hard work he puts in. A bit disappointed with Luis tonight but am sure he has some better times to come.

Matic! In the middle of the middle of the pitch!!!!
