Chelsea Vs Hull - 13th December @ 3pm GMT

Featured Replies

This is probably our 'easiest' fixture in the month of December, and we must win to stay ahead of Man City who have crept right up behind us.

Hull have had 1 win in their last 10 games and find themselves in the relegation zone, you would like to think this game will be a formality, but who knows.

For Sporting midweek hopefully Jose will have rest those who need a rest, and play those who need match fitness, then pick a side who will comfortably beat Hull at home. We need to send a message out that we are not phased by our last few fixtures. I'd like to see us really make a statement, rather than score one or two and close up shop after 45 minutes.

Strongest 11 for this one. Hull at home we should be winning this fixture every time. Would like to see Costa back in the goals also.

Courtois

Ivanovic - Cahill - JT - Dave

Matic - Ramires (if fit)

Willian - Oscar - Hazard

Diegoals

Comfortable win and a clean sheet please, Chelsea.

Courtois

Dave - Ivanovic - Terry - Luis

Ramires - Matic

Schurrle - Oscar - Hazard

Costa

That's what I would like to see but I don't think Jose would mix things up that much.

Wouldn't mind seeing a diamond in midfield woth 2 up top! Certain it won't happen though...

Courtios

Ivan - Cahill - Terry - Luis

Matic

Ramires - Willian

Hazard

Costa - Drogba

I'm in shed upper row one for this game looking forward to it. I actually think its going to be a tricky game and hull will park the bus which I don't have a problem with its up to use to break them down. I think we will 2-0. I reckon

I'll be on London for the weekend but unfortunately couldn't get a ticket for this (damn ticket exchange not accepting any of my cards). Any suggestion which pub should I go to watch the game?

Also worth pointing our that its our dear friend Chris Foy reffing this one, so don't expect anything.

Chelsea 0-5 Hull (5 pens), entire Chelsea team s/o during pre-match handshakes.

We have definitely been victims of a couple of disgraceful performances from Foy, but we still win the majority of matches he referees (despite his propensity for the incorrect red card). Hull are in an appalling run of form, there can be no excuse not to get a result here.

We really shouldn't be leaving games like this in the hands of the ref. Just do the business so his influence is minimal.

That didn't stop him against Villa, we did absolutely nothing wrong and he gave Willian one of the worst sending offs I've ever seen in football. 2 yellows for 2 fouls which were soft fouls. Basically it was a red card for working hard, we would have beat Villa then too, we were playing so well until that twat came in the game and ruined it.

I'm not one for blaming referees but that game was purely on him being sh*t. Mike dean last season, we should have put the game to bed anyway I agree with that one but Foy, Foy is just a twat plain and simple and usually does favor the opposition.

I can't blame anyone who is going to have worries this game about him.

We weren't playing that well in that match though. If we had done our job in that match and actually taken control then maybe we don't get those soft bookings (Foy actually gave four cards to each team) and they don't influence the match in the way they did.

Quite honestly we were actually pretty sh*t that day.

We didn't play well? That's the best I've seen us play at Villa park for a long time, we were all over them. Even the commentators were saying a Chelsea goal is coming any minute, they couldn't handle it, Hazard was on top form.

You can't say we weren't playing well because many of us were optimistic 50 minutes into the game we couldn't believe it as we felt it was going to be another typical Villa away game. Chris Foy was to blame for that game.

Also may I add Villa had one chance that whole game and scored, which was also after we were down to 10 men.

I simply don't agree with that assessment. We looked decent in the build-up but what did we actually create?

We looked very promising in the build up and a goal was coming closer and closer from our play, I was impressed with our efforts as it was one of the good footballing performances we had when we went first in the league. Since we moved up to first late January we didn't seem to be able to play as good anymore with the pressure we had.

That Villa game was surprising, although we were getting closer with each play, you can't say we didn't play well because we did. The referee ruined our chance with a stupid decision of getting anything out of that game and the red card just changed the game completely and ended up in a loss.

Maybe we might not have gotten something out of the game you might have been right, but we were looking promising and likely to score but the sending off was just ridiculous to say the least. If players get sent off for that then we would have 3 sending offs per game on average.

One word.

Torres.

Hull is probably the team we like to play right now if we could pick ( apart from Spurs and Arsenal). However I'm sure they will stay compact and make us play through them. We need a fast start, if they don't conceded in the first 20, they will get a lot more confident, and we will start showing frustrations. If my memory is correct, they did nick a point against Arsenal few weeks ago, so they are not that terrible. May give Schrulle a start, he's just more likely to score goals against Willian, and we could afford to lose a bit of stability in defence.
