Didn't read the article cos I don't care about the case tbh as long as the people who sung the song got banned, if the people who didn't sing, hang around with them, I'm pretty sure they are exactly the same type of scumbag.

I must admit I find the club's actions harsh, I don't think they fit the crime.

 

5 year banning orders from football were in place, and the club could have offered the fans a way back, rehabilitation if you like, maybe demanded that they make amends, or take a course or something.

 

This way you drive people underground rather than strive to integrate them.

 

They didn't kill anyone.

 

For my money the club have kowtowed to the media and put public relations above fairness.

They really needed to send a very strong message of zero tolerance otherwise the club would be used as an example of having a 'culture' in all future media. There's no other way to handle it and those cretins have been dealt with perfectly imho.

Too strong my friend and without foundation. Not good to say such a thing unless

A. You have seen and heard said poster singing said song/s.

B. You have some way of verifying he believes the content of said song/s.

I go with the mix of posters. What's wrong is wrong; we've been made an example of; we were in a tight media created corner.

Now, I have to admit I quite like the fact an ex copper has had his collar felt, but I do know not all police are the same.

My biggest beef is there were, and are, other perpetrators who have not been brought to account so readily and we can debate the influence of the media and what is to be Chelsea.

However it's looked at, it's a sad matter including for those who may not have had the fair side of justice.
