March 26, 201610 yr On my way back from seeing it. I've read no reviews or anything going into it so as not to have any spoilers. Thought that it was a pretty solid film. Afleck was great as Batman and Bruce Wayne, a much angrier version than we've seen before. I won't go into the plot etc. so to avoid spoilers for anyone e hasn't seen it yet but I enjoyed it and will definitely be giving it future viewings.
March 26, 201610 yr I'm on my way back too and like FC I remained spoiler free. I enjoyed it, it was what I expected.
March 26, 201610 yr I think people would have liked it a lot better if that second trailer didn't summarise the entire film. There was nothing unsuspected happening

March 26, 201610 yr It's not an awful film. The acting is great, especially Ben Affleck. The visuals are solid, the story is good (but not told well), and the fights are awesome. Sadly, the film has absolutely f**king terrible editing and the narrative is a total joke. That's why it is getting hammered.

Yeah it really jumps around with abrupt mood changes and story line jumps. Too many storylines shoved into one movie to set up other movies.
March 27, 201610 yr Zack Snyder just cannot tell a story in his movies please drop him for the future Justice league films, Props to Affleck though did better than I though he would, Cavill has no personality awful Superman.
March 27, 201610 yr Cavill has no personality awful Superman. That should make him the perfect Superman. To me Superman is one of the blandest and least interesting superheroes of all time. Edited March 27, 201610 yr by Maksimov
March 27, 201610 yr He is too OP to ever be interesting. Every plot has to involve weakening him in some way then its not really superman. All reasons why Batman is the best hero of all time. An actual personality, can be in your face fighter but also have some mystery because he's a detective.
March 27, 201610 yr He is too OP to ever be interesting. Exactly! I think Watchmen's Dr. Manhattan is a much better way to handle an omnipotent character.
March 27, 201610 yr Author Bollocks to all this Superman hate. He's a complex character, Cavill did as well as anyone in the role. Batman is just a thug.
March 27, 201610 yr Bollocks to all this Superman hate. He's a complex character... Superman is the sort of superhero a five year old would come up with. Batman is just a thug. He's still way more interesting than Superman and Batman has probably the best lineup of villains in the history of comics. The only two villains from the Superman storyline that I can name are Lex Luthor and Doomsday. And to be honest, I probably wouldn't know the name Doomsday if he wasn't referenced in the Spawn episode in which he's visited by Cerebus.
March 28, 201610 yr The fight scenes and visuals were pretty good and Affleck did well as Batman (I'm a Batman fan). Overall, it was a decent movie, but the story could be better told. Anyway... Batman > Superman :) Edited March 28, 201610 yr by Zinc
March 30, 201610 yr 5/10 for me. Big Ben was very good. But Lex was really annoying and his monster was awful. The movie was very disjointed and lacked a certain style. Was all too predictable, no danger whatsoever. Wonder Woman was easy on the eye but a bit of a needless addition, and took far too long for her to get involved. Overall a big disappointment. Bring on Ben's solo Batman film, that will be good.
March 30, 201610 yr I'm in the Superman fan group rather than Batman, nothing to do with looks or body obviously. Bring on Captain America.
March 30, 201610 yr By the sounds of the ending, they will be doing yet another one of those films with half a dozen superheroes in it, with Batman, Superman and whoever else is in those comic books.
March 30, 201610 yr Author By the sounds of the ending, they will be doing yet another one of those films with half a dozen superheroes in it, with Batman, Superman and whoever else is in those comic books. ...The Flash, Cyborg, Aquaman and of course, Wonder Woman. All to appear alongside Batman and Superman in Justice League, Part 1, for release next year. There will be 11 superhero movies from DC between now and 2020. Suicide Squad, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Cyborg, Shazam, Justice League Part 2, and Green Lantern are all getting movies.
March 30, 201610 yr Great.... I do love this lack of creativity. In what way is it a lack of creativity? This is, to my knowledge, the first time that Batman and Superman have appeared on screen together in a live action film. Both characters have over 75 years worth of storylines to draw from. BvS alone was drawing influences from a lot of different timelines and story arcs.
March 30, 201610 yr Green Lantern is the only one besides bats and supes whose had a move too I think.
March 30, 201610 yr In what way is it a lack of creativity? The endless superhero films, they are just dredging up more and more I've never even heard of, or shoving them all together into big films. Poor stories, the same sort of plots over and over again, nothing new or interesting.

Poor stories, the same sort of plots over and over again, nothing new or interesting. Kind of agree with this. There is film after film just now and it seems the films are getting a bit stale. BvS was good to look at with the effect and what not but the story was garbage.

Poor stories, the same sort of plots over and over again, nothing new or interesting. Out of interest have you watched the Deadpool movie yet? Okay plot wise nothing too new but it's humour was very adult and a big contrast to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Regarding plot, when you boil it down isn't it the case if a vast majority of action/adventure stories that they are fairly formulaic? They're there to entertain rather than innovate. With regards to characters you haven't heard of, why is that a bad thing? Doesn't that make it more likely that you'll see something new? I'd never heard of Guardians of the Galaxy but it's in my opinion one of the best Marvel films.
