hopefully next season we will see a big improvement in style of play throughout the whole season. It would be nice to put a bit more emphasis on putting games to bed early (when we get the chance), creating chances through more than one avenue, controlling possession (especially at home), widening the play and not playing so narrow, and becoming a lot more dominant in midfield. There is no way we have to play tentative, defensive football against almost every top team.

Totally disagree, I don't care how we play so long as we win.

Where comes this negative attitude from?

We basically bossed United for 90 minutes and they couldn't create anything. It was one of those games where our players were very focused and concentrated. A joy to watch.

We won't be able to beat any decent CL side playing this way. We got easily smashed by Atletico Madrid and we couldn't even beat a 10 man PSG at home without their best player. We are winning a league were our top rivals have been extremely average.

If we are to evolve as a BIG club, something has to change drastically.

We lost to a great Atletico side that won La Liga narrowly in the semi's last year while playing Torres up front.

We've lost 3 games in all competitions this season - Newcastle, Sunderland & Bradford.

Better get the drastic change out, i'm really hoping you're a furious United fan on a wind up.

having seen a few of his posts, i strongly suspect he is!

We didn't lose to Atletico because we played too defensive

We lost because Mourinho made changes at halftime to be more offensive. Was the only major tactical mistake he made all season and we payed for it.

He's made it abundantly clear that something like that won't happen again, hence our current style of play against other top sides.

And personally, i couldn't care less what anything thinks about our style of play. I want trophies,

Interesting how the PSG tie narrowly skipped your memory. The fact is we are good enough to win a league with poor rivals. Not a poor league as a whole, just poor top teams. We aren't good enough to win the Champions league playing this way and I do not want to see my side playing this way. I think that's a fair comment.

But we lost on away goals against PSG, it's not like they outplayed us. We didn't lose against them.

United created quite a few chances. Rooney in the first few minutes should have scored and he also had a free header which he should have done better with. On another day, Rooney buries those chances.

Personally, i don't care how we win, but if we go into next season playing this way then i don't think it will work out as well as it is now. Especially in the Champions League.

The first half of the season we controlled games by keeping the ball, we don't do that anymore. Like i said though, i don't care how win, i'll take anything. I just want to us to be a bit better on the ball right now, my nerves can't take much more of this

Jose is teaching this group of players how to win trophies, grind out the games when it matters. It certainly isn't good for the nerves of our fans but the orgasmic feeling it produces at the end when we have won, having played this way, is second to none.

As a footnote the only statistic that matters is the score at the end and the table the result is inserted into, the rest is just meaningless tosh.

Any team creates those chances against us. But I felt that Burnley were more dangerous against us than this United side.

For me there were just two moments of anxiety: Rooney's supposed goal and Herrera's potential penalty. Apart from that we were very much in control. So this game didn't stress me at all.

First 20-25 minutes I was really worried, we looked like everyones heads were in different places, loose passes flying and things looked really dire. After that though, the lads pulled it together and I thought we were excellent. Apart from that moment Falcao turned his man, and of course the almost penalty I didn't really have any worries second half.

At least we can go into the Arsenal game extremely confident, and us fans might be able to relax a bit more, knowing it's nearly done.

I honestly fancy us to go there and nick a 2-1 now.
