Chelsea outbid Tottenham for Wembley

Featured Replies

I really don't like the idea of any club playing a whole season at Wembley. It does make sense though gives the ground more revenue for one but it's gonna really take away from the cup finals.

It could be worse... We could be sharing with MK Dons...

"a ground share with Milton Keynes Dons the most likely option for Tottenham."

Ouch!

What have MK Dons done to deserve that? I appreciate they are a fake outfit but having that lot as lodgers!

The best idea BY FAR would be to play at Craven Cottage, which I think will have a 30k capacity.

One, you're guaranteed a sell-out every game, two, it's local, as local as it can be, three, it's right on the river, luverly, four, season-ticket holders only plus members, i.e. no tourists.

It will be just like the old days .. Atmosphere !!!!!!!

He missed out "...and a Chelsea fan got the last chocolate doughnut in Greggs".

Yep, this!

I actually love Craven Cottage to be honest- on a summers day the walk along to the Thames to the ground is the one. Missed going there last season.

As you say, would be limited to ST holders and a small pocket of members and would undoubtedly be a right laugh for the few years we were there.

Obviously it will be Wembley in reality which is probably the best it's really going to get. Won't really enjoy playing there for 3 years it just won't feel right but at least its 20 minutes on the train for me so nice and convenient.

As for Tottenham.... possibly having to play at MK Dons ground as we have bamboozled them out of playing at Wembley which seemed as good as in the bag for them..... you really couldn't make it up!
