September 1, 201510 yr Sky Sports breaking news says we are closing to signing Michael Hector from Reading for £4m, anyone know anything about him?
September 1, 201510 yr A bit of a rising star at Reading, came up through the youth team and is considered one of their biggest assets. Will probably join Vitesse! Saying that though, I'd prefer him over Papy Unpronounceable. Edited September 1, 201510 yr by Huttsey
September 1, 201510 yr These days Vitesse fans are more excited about Chelsea signings than CFC fans are.
September 1, 201510 yr Simon Jones: Chelsea have signed Reading defender Michael Hector for £4m. More to follow on that one.
September 1, 201510 yr What is the bloody point of us having an academy? Michael Hector has been on 11 loans in 6 years so at least he'll fit in. Very weird signing. Maybe something to do with the Steve Clarke connection.
September 1, 201510 yr Chelsea Youth ?@chelseayouth 2m2 minutes ago Being fair to Hector he is actually quite a good player. But so is Kalas. But so is Christensen. But so is Chalobah. But so is Clarke-Salter
September 1, 201510 yr Who? What a truly strange transfer We have had a very strange window. Mind boggling when a few months ago we were champions and flying high..now we have been battered by City and done by Palace at the Bridge. Talk about a come down!
September 1, 201510 yr So we spent double on a youth player who will spend his Chelsea career on loan, then we spent on someone who is supposedly going into the first team
September 1, 201510 yr Michael Emenalo: You wanted a defender, boss. I got you two. Jose: You're fired.
September 1, 201510 yr 'kin hell. He is 23, appears to have had spells at 12 different clubs and I have never heard of him. Not saying I am under-whelmed by this signing but.........................................
September 1, 201510 yr apparently was excellent for reading last season according to a few reading supporters, and a couple are annoyed he's going for so little considering mings went for a higher fee.
September 1, 201510 yr He's our 3rd choice centre back behind McShane and Ferdinand at the moment. He's a good player but was put somewhat in the shop window by an excellent performance at Wembley against Arsenal in the FA Cup Semi Final which I think has made him seem better than he actually is. He's tall, strong, but has a mistake in him. I'll be gutted to see him go for Reading's sake, but I can't see why Chelsea are signing him...
