I Miss Carlo

Ancelotti isn't on the same level as Mourinho.

Regardless, what you detailed is exactly the position we're in now, surely you can see the irony?

I'm not going to wade into the 'who is better than who' debate, I still want Mourinho to stay.

We didn't win he league by a canter on plan a

So the plan B is what we saw at the 2nd half of last season? I thought that was his plan A, always been..

The mesmerizing footie that we played earlier part of last season was a brief of fresh air under jose, not sure if that's his plan or fabregas barcelona influence, certainly didn't see that in his 1st season...

Now, if we're talking about his substitution, whoever he put in, it didn't change the initial tactic that he started the game with.. of course I'm saying this as an overall view..

Well i think it's still there, but you need the players to execute it for it to be successful.

As I've mentioned in other threads, things do seem a little less calculated this season and I'm not sure what that is down to.  i don't think he would abandon his usual way of coaching though

Exactly.  Can't exactly press with a high line when you are down by multiple goals when you have players such as JT, Cahill, and Ivan.  We suck when defending the counterattack this year without a dominant Matic to break it up.

A mixture of all three of, Jose, Carlo & Guus would have the dynamics to set the football world alight, let alone Chelsea.

Absence makes the heart grow fonder

Look, I like Carlo, he comes over as a very nice guy, super professional and good at his job. That said, towards the end of his time at Chelsea, he looked stale, bereft of ideas, and had Chelsea playing some dire football. Our team looked directionless. He looked clueless. Jose has had some negative posts on here for sticking with the same players over and over again despite poor performances. Carlo did exactly the same!

Also, after we (supposedly) dealt with Carlo with such a lack of class last time around (sacked in the corridor?), I would question his motives of coming back. I dont want a Chelsea manager to come for £££. I want them to come because they love our team, genuinley care and are as passionate as us supporters.

Jose is one of us. Something which Carlo will never be.

I am not one of those who thinks Jose is faultess. I believe he has been the cause of a lot of our current problems, the cause of a lot of friction, bad publicity, poor transfer policy etc. That said, this man deserves a chance to turn it around. For everthing he has given us (3 titles, how many other cups?), for the good times, for the shared heartaches, i believe it is better to stick with Jose at this moment.

Rumours of Claude makelelle coming with Carlo, if jose wer to go think that would make a good team

I would love Makelele back at the club, he was a master at DM, he could give some much needed pointers to players like Matic.
