November 2, 201510 yr Exactly. I meant looking at our display specifically on Saturday though - I was hoping, as I have been at the start of every match, that "this will be where we turn the corner". Just not coming is it? Like you I keep thinking, maybe today the players are going to rediscover what made them champions. Costa's going to make some smart runs into the area and Fabregas is going to feed him with an inch perfect pass. Hazard is going to run it around half their defence with effortless ease. Matic is going to be like a human wall and nothing will pass him. But then it doesn't happen. And we look more and more of a shadow of the team from last year and I'm struggling to recongnise the players who achieved so much. And this is what scares me most, I'm not seeing the turning point.
November 2, 201510 yr We need to score about 3 a game to get any points, because we are so bad at the back. But we are so bad at the front we are lucky to have 3 shots. All in all it points to many more losses to come.

November 2, 201510 yr With the exception of Willian and Mou. We need to completely reconfigure this team. I'm sorry, but Mou is the man we want to lead the new team. The players do not seem to be responding. Mou is a great manager and possesses long term vision. The majority of our players have given up. What are you basing this on given he never stays anywhere longer than about three years? Mourinho has had some bad results back to back before but never a complete drop in form like this and I fear we're seeing why he never stays anywhere for the long term. Normally I would say since he won the league give him the whole of this season to turn it around but I just don't think he's the man to do it and some of his antics with the press and on the touchline are just getting tedious.
November 3, 201510 yr I think apart from Begovic ( before TIbo comes back), Azpi, Zouma, Willian, anyone else is droppable. The whole Siege mentality doesn't work with the current bunch of players, or should I say it can't be used for the whole season. We became more rigid in our attacking play each week, to the point no one is making run, no one want to pass forward, and no one want to hold on the ball. When you defend around the box for 85 minutes, something has to give.
November 3, 201510 yr RE: fans walking out. When Coutinho scored his second goal I turned off the TV. Does that make me a bad fan?

November 3, 201510 yr I just cant get over that moment in the weekend when Fabregas came on for Mikel, it was a suicide substitution and the turning point of the game, even the players gave up the fight after that! I could have bet my life on us losing that match at that moment. Liverpool found it so easy score us from that moment. Its unbelievable that Jose can make such mistake when we had RLC and Matic on the bench. God! I seriously want to forget all details of that match and Liverpool beating us

November 3, 201510 yr If the media chat about Carlo returning has any substance I really will give up
November 3, 201510 yr Looking at results to date and the way Chelsea have played I still think the problems are less interesting than the media would like people to believe. I saw improvement in the Kiev, Villa and West Ham games but still saw out of form players, out of form players trying their nuts off. Lets be fair, a Chelsea team with an out of form Hazard would not have won the title last season, a Chelsea team with an out of form Fabregas would not have built up the momentum that meant when his form dipped, they could grind out enough results relying on the aforementioned Hazard to get them over the line. Costa obviously suffers when either is out of form so it's no wonder he is having a tough time with both below par. You don't even need to think about the extra year on JT's legs that will show more when our attack is so blunt as teams are generally more ambitious against us knowing we struggle to hurt them on the counter. Then we have a similar problem with Ivan, again without the need to worry (as much as last season) about our forwards and with Fabregas defensively frail Ivan's form dip is exaggerated. We also have lost a couple of big personalities in Cech and Drogba, we've lost two top goalkeepers (as good as Asmir is he is not on their level) and other teams in the league have improved. I doubt many media sources would want to look at it like that but nothing I've said is conjecture, sensationalism or plain bias so I can understand why they wouldn't want to print it.
November 3, 201510 yr Well it's been 3 days and I still can't come to terms with Michael Owen's commentary. The little c*nt.
November 3, 201510 yr That's really disgraceful IMO. I understand their anger to see us losing, but they should have stayed and supported the team regardless of the score. Just to point out some people leave 15 mins early regardless of the score, if I go to a 7.45 kick off I have to leave early or I won't make the midnight train (the last train of the evening) when I get back to Kent, sucks for champions league games especially when we're losing I must look very unloyal lol :p Edited November 3, 201510 yr by MemphisKrabz
November 3, 201510 yr The real shock for me in this game was the first half. I know we conceded two goals in the second but the first was truly shocking in my opinion. We went up early and just completely sat up , we put the onus on the to get back into the game (which they did) rather than taking the game away from them. It's a mentality that worked for the second half of last season but is clearly not working now.

It was the first half that was impressive.
November 4, 201510 yr I wonder why you're taking offence at someone criticising Mikel. He wasn't that great against Liverpool. Going backwards isn't what the team needs right now.
November 4, 201510 yr Oh! So Fabregas was fantastic? Tbf, he was already on a yellow and didn't really do much to contribute to our attack. We needed goals at that time, so Cesc's sub was a logical one.
November 4, 201510 yr Oh! So Fabregas was fantastic? You alluded that the midfield was worse off after Fabregas' introduction and that Mikel was holding it together. I was highlighting that Mikel had a bad game, very bad in fact against Liverpool. I'm not really sure what Fabregas' contribution has to do with that point?
November 4, 201510 yr I was criticising Jose for bringing on Fabregas when we had Matic and RLC on the bench at a time when we can still win the game. FFS Fabregas has been bad all season and his introduction ruin our chances of getting anything from the game! Am i clear? So i dont know what Mikel being awful has to do with this? Besides if Mikel was awful how come Fabregas wasn't MOTM since he is the Messiah?
