July 10, 201610 yr How the f**k have they won this competition ? There is one thing they have got right though, they have been incredibly solid, especially in these knockout games.
July 10, 201610 yr I think they need to rework the group stages though, they have almost become pointless under this format. For a side to finish 3rd in their group, not win a single game in that group and then go on to win the whole thing doesn't feel right. Edited July 10, 201610 yr by Scott Harris
July 10, 201610 yr The Euros won by a team that only won 1 game in 90 minutes throughout the whole tournament. Can't see this being a tournament that'll live long in the memory, out of the whole tournament, I think there have been 2 games I've seen that haven't bored me. The format encourages defensive play and having to grind down defensive teams tires everyone by the later stages. Edited July 10, 201610 yr by abigsmurf

July 10, 201610 yr I see Ronaldo has recovered from his terrible leg injury already. Switching off now, can't bear to watch this bunch of bell ends celebrating.

More countries will be tempted to park the bus and play like shameless pricks in the hope of getting lucky because in the end it's about the result. Greece did it, now Portugal. Ronaldo remembers to limp every now and then. I see Ronaldo has recovered from his terrible leg injury already. Switching off now, can't bear to watch this bunch of bell ends celebrating. I think he's genuinely injured. If he could have played on at all, he would have. Looks like it could be a minor MCL tear. With it taped up so you can move your knee to the side, you can still walk. It's the impact from jumping and the rotation that can happen upon landing that is painful and messes it up. I'm sure he's also been given painkillers and, along with the adrenaline, doesn't feel it. July 10, 201610 yr Thank god this sh*tfest is finally over. sh*t "fans", sh*t performances, sh*t games, sh*t winner.
July 10, 201610 yr Do you reckon Ronaldo will retire from international competition now? Robson Kanu goal of the tournament ? well that is clearly bias voting there. Shaqiri
July 10, 201610 yr Well in Portugal! I predicted that from the first knockout games and won myself £370 so chuffed to bits!
July 10, 201610 yr Robson Kanu goal of the tournament ? well that is clearly bias voting there. A joke. Shaquiris was miles the best goal of the tournament

More countries will be tempted to park the bus and play like shameless pricks in the hope of getting lucky because in the end it's about the result. Greece did it, now Portugal. Not sure it will. More countries in the tournament and more games means more money being made. They have Iceland as a posterboy for the format to deflect any criticism. Really not sure how they can fix the tournament without dropping the number of games/teams. Add a playoff round for third place teams maybe?
July 10, 201610 yr I see Ronaldo has recovered from his terrible leg injury already. Switching off now, can't bear to watch this bunch of bell ends celebrating. He quite clearly done damage to his knee. Ridiculous to suggest otherwise
July 10, 201610 yr I want to express my gratitude for everyone who has contributed to this thread. If it weren't for the discussion on here, I would have stopped watching after a few days due to game boredom and disgust about the fan violence. Being able to interact with people here makes it feel like I'm watching with others, despite being at home alone. Thank you to all of you.
July 10, 201610 yr Well done Portugal, Didn't agree with the whole finish in 3rd place rule but great team performances when it really mattered.
July 10, 201610 yr congratulations portugal, as a neutral always happy to see the underdog won, eventhough there's ronnie the diva and congratulations to this man! Edited July 10, 201610 yr by havelschayes
July 10, 201610 yr Got to admit that was a sh*t Euros The group games were ok in parts but the knockout games were pretty awful.
July 10, 201610 yr only the manure legend could get this handball wrong yes we have seen it before - cuttenburg fs-up a call in a crucial match

Did other teams start to play the way we did to win the CL? People seem to forget how we won that cup. You win the way you can.
