Boro seem solid except for moses gettung a lot of space. Valdes, what a save. We seem a little rusty and not that bad. Glad we got that goal.

I'm gonna jump in on the Alonso criticism too, he's so off the pace. A very decent left foot on him when given time/space, but he makes too many poor decisions, clearly panics under a bit of pressure, and he's not got the pace to keep up with Premier League wingers. A stop gap in an understaffed position, but we really should be looking for a better option there.

I tend to side with the opinion that wing back is such a hard role to play for a whole season, you have to be brilliant as both a winger and a fullback, what we need rather than a replacement is another couple of wing backs to ease the burden.
