Liverpool slipped up today, which means that a draw would be enough for us to preserve the status quo (kind of).

I still want us to win badly against Spurs, but suddenly a draw does not seem like the end of the world either. Sunderland definitely did us a favour there - thanks for that!

Think if we won this one it would be the first time I'd be thinking we could actually do it (the title).

A real test this one, our toughest of the season IMO

Atkinson the man in the middle is worrysome he'll be looking for any excuse to send off Matic or Costa

Would not be surprised if matic gets sent off for a tackle and Costa for talking to the ref.

Costa to be sent of for being clattered and Matic for being too tall.

I've noticed less c**tyness now that the Media have warmed so much to conte, I really believe now it was a Mou issue, anyone outside chelsea hated his guts

Probably the level of the refs incompetence will make Mike deans today look like a top display. However since it will work in favour of Spurs it will just be "Chelsea were due a bad result"

Could we  actually do this, break a record at Spurs? What a huge, HUGE opportunity we have been presented with after sunderland managed to hold Liverpool today. Win and we would go 8 clear, avoid defeat and we stay 6 clear. With the weekend games pitting United hosting Liverpool these new two away games are mammoth tasks and opportunities.

Come out of this with two good results and we will set the second half of the season up really well.

Am just having a hard time envisioning us getting the win at the lane, their fans and players will be all over the ref and a lot of pressure is being put forward that Spurs have to beat us. Hope I am wrong but this one seems a real difficult task for us to come away with the 3 points.

I'm wondering if this desperation that Spurs have in beating us could be their downfall. I understand the argument that because of the pressure they'll be right up for it, but whose to say that the pressure will be too much? I'm wondering if we can frustrate them for the first half or so and grab a goal, then maybe we could see another implosion similar to the one at the Bridge. Spurs have a reputation as bottlers for a reason, so it's possible that the pressure could get to them on Wednesday, and Conte must use that to our advantage. No doubt Pochettino, who seems hell bent on beating us, will be using every dirty trick in the book, so if we don't rise to them, they could lose the plot again

benching Hazard is madness...why don't we put Begovic in net as well and Batshuayi for his first start of the year over Diego

No I say Thibaut

Azpil, Luiz, Cahill

Moses, Kante, Matic, Alonzo

Willian, Costa, Hazard

Fab, Brana and Pedro to come on...would like to see Bats late on but theres no point in hoping for that

from the fighting c*ck

I am convinced we will win......Ive wanted their run to continue purely because it needs to be us that ends it.
The Lane at night, the last time ever we play them there....it will be deafening.

The last laugh is always the best, and its time to put the 2-2 and the game at theirs this season into the past.
No one will remember that, but the history books will tell who ended their run.

Unlucky 13 you chav c**ts

history books will tell who ended their run ffs:laugh2::laugh2:

ready the "we ended your winning streak, you're still title favorite but who cares" trophy folks

also from there

I will give him the benefit of the doubt. I am sure no bigotry was intended. Vile club for rich hoorays and combat 18 hooligans.

checked all the pages in this thread and nobody said this sentence, am i missing something?

Am i the only one bricking it already for this one?

What a massive, massive game. So much on the line for us especially and a win would just be completely unbelieveable to extend our run to 14. Not only that, it would also mean we'll really pull away from the pack in the title race. A draw or a loss, God forbid and many teams are still very much in it. We win at WHL as well and thats a massive blow to all of our competitors i bet you.

Its just another game and trying for another 3 points, thats what i keep telling myself, who am i kidding? Thick North London divs.Lets stuff em and leave just the Europa for them (which they wont win).....UP THE CHELS !
