Felipe Anderson

Sources close to CalcioMercato can reveal that Premier League giants Chelsea will make a move for Lazio Felipe Anderson once Maurizio Sarri is appointed as the club's boss.

It is believed that Lazio will be willing to let Felipe Anderson leave and with Sarri set to shop for players from the Serie A after he joins Chelsea, he is very much interested in bringing the Brazilian winger to Stamford Bridge.

The offer is likely to be in the region of 40 million euros and Lazio will be happy to earn considerable profit out of a player that they signed for about 8 million euros back in 2013.

Don't know how good he is. Is he better than Willian or Pedro?

Difficult to say how good he is, if CIES is anything to go by he blows Willian away in terms of rigour/recovery, and his take on/chance creation numbers are marginally better than Willian's. Despite the stats I could easily see him not being quite up to the level for the first XI, i.e. he doesn't seem to have the burst of pace over 10yds like Willian. If I had to guess I'd say he'd be an upgrade for Pedro but a downgrade for Willian.

Interesting, so basically it's as if we're buying Willian when he was younger. No thanks then, we need more players who can affect the final third than recoveries.

Feel rather indifferent to the idea of this signing. Wouldn't appear to improve on Willian or Pedro.

Do we know why he played so little this season? Only made 21 league appearance and only 9 of those were starts.

We need more goals in the team and Anderson has only ever once scored double figures in the league and that was four years ago.... Seems like another Willian, doesn't contribute a huge goal scoring threat.

Would rather we were interested in his team mate Ciro Immobile, he's scored 52 league goals in his last two seasons.

Quick shift of pace and can play central too. Could be an interesting buy.

He plays and looks (probably the hair) almost exactly like Willian

When he was being linked as a possible right wing back signing, I was very keen. He hasn't had a great season, and if we aren't going to be playing with wing backs, there are better options in attacking midfield.

Had a falling out with the manager from what I read.

He does look very similar in that tape. It looks like he has more burst than Willian and looks more direct and effective with his touches. How many times does he put the ball just beyond the defender when he's running at them compared to Willi who seems to be always trying move laterally and do two step overs before taking someone on?

He's also doing this in Italy where defenses are more tactically sound and compact than England.
