The journos reporting us agreeing a fee, are not saying the same thing, theyre just saying Lpool wanted him too. And might bid.    I fully expect to wake up tomorrow and see Monaco have rejected their Lemar bid, and theyve matched the Ox fee though, 100%

Wouldn't have minded him here, but It's not a big loss, Liverpool is not much of a step up in his career. If he doesn't want to challenge himself with us, then he really isn't worth it, f**k him.

If he doesn't think he's good enough to get in to our team, then I'll take it as a compliment.

Is he likely to get into the Liverpool side with ease? I mean they have spent 50 odd million on the Leipzig boy who will be guaranteed a spot next summer and they want Lemar too. Where would he play? Don't see Klopp dropping Caan, Henderson or Lallana for Chamberlain. Out wide he'd never get in over Mane either 

Looking at the squads you would be thinking getting a game for us would be a better bet given our lack of depth. 

Doesn't even feel like we are the champions. We can't even interest an average player like Ox, let alone sign a world class players like we use to.

It does feel odd right. I mean we were supposed to have been carrying an interest in Lukaku for months but we did not close that deal out and he went to United. Mendy was meant to be another we wanted as our other LWB but he went to City, now you can add the Ox, who we even have agreed a fee for, we are told anyways, and he has turned us down? For Liverpool? The Klopp coolaid is clearly strong in that one lol!

Wouldn't surprise me if true - it makes sense to me from his perspective.  We seem to be thinking of him as a utility man/WB, and we always hear he wants to play CM.  Much clearer path to that in Liverpool, especially if Drinkwater interest plans out.  Conte must have spoken with Ox after fee agreed and they would have discussed what his plans for him were.  

I was never that wild on him (and not at price / wages reported in some places), but wouldn't have minded him since he was a warm body.  Hope we have backups in mind.  This also means other clubs will feel bolder in holding us up.

Latest odds on him to Liverpool 4/6, we have drifted 3/1, guess that confirms something is up.

Whenever I've seen him in centre mid he's been sh*t.. no idea why he thinks he can walk into any teams midfield.

If that's true then good luck to him, I'm sure he'll win many league cup trophies every 3-4 years and then enjoy a healthy spell at Stoke.

He may not be a player we need, but it'll annoy the Liverpool and Arsenal fans who wanted him.

Yeah not sure he will be an asset to Liverpool there. Of course he may play poorly there and then have to accept Klopp putting him at full back or playing second fiddle to their impressive front three.

cant say that im disappointed...but we really do need depth at the wingback position and theres less options available everyday we move closer to the deadline , we missed on a lot of people who could have help us. And can we stop we these english players please ! they are not good enough !!!

To be fair Boga is a wide forward and am pretty sure we saw Ox as a wing back. When Conte hauled him off when Cahill had is brainfart I was pretty sure his time with us was done.

 

Conte has been pretty scathing of our youth anyways, basically said young Andreas is the only one he will give game time too as he is the only one good enough.

Can't disagree, I try my best sometimes not to attack the board, but this is amateur business and it is really pissing me off.

Boga filled our HG quota, it didn't matter what position he played really.
