April 4, 20188 yr It's a joke that they get away with not letting us select our seats. I had a look at Southamptons site and look how they are going about it... You can select which block you want, it shows the price availabilty ect... You can choose the exact row and seat you want also. When you're paying that kind of money you should expect to be able to know what tier you're going to be sitting in. It's unbelievable how long our club has gotting away with not giving us that option. What do we get? Just a drop down list, you select price catergory and that's it - you won't know where you're sitting until they arrive. but it's been like this for years so it's not like anything is going to change. (sorry for long post I was just talking a friend about this in the morning and thought to post my thoughts here too.)

They really are a corrupt and disgusting organisation who think us normal fans are uneducated idiots. I suppose we are for paying these prices, and they know they can hold us to ransom and we will pay up. I'll be there as always, but it will never be a patch on watching the full members cup final in 86, in the old Wembley for £10. "When Pates went up" It was £2.50 for the cheapest ticket in 1979 for the League Cup Final. That's a 400% rise in 7 years! That's 57% a year. So on that reckoning the cheapest ticket for this years Final would be about £58.07.
April 5, 20188 yr Still category 2/3/4 tickets available, now down to 20 loyalty points. Plenty of people complain about not getting tickets during the year, good chance for them to support the team in a Cup semi final.

Actually looked up my full members cup final ticket at it was £5 not £10, to get a comparison, I was paid £13 a week for my paper round back in 1986, so a week's pay and I could buy 2 tickets and a programme, I bet you couldn't buy two Wembley tickets and a programme on a paper boys weekly pay now!!!! Football a working man's game.... Your having a laugh, not any more

It seems inflation doesn’t count for paperboys, where’s the social justice warriors fighting for equality there? Disgraceful!
April 5, 20188 yr Every other club seems to offer the option of being able to pick your exact seat apart from Chelsea. I don't see why we are light years behind every other club. Not even being able to select upper/lower for a £65 ticket is ridiculous, especially when they are complete different seats, for a completely different kind of experience, i.e. view/atmosphere. Again, I presume Chelsea aren't bothered as long as they shift the allocation one way or the other.

They know the demand is there and that we'll easily sell out our allocation regardless so why bother? I don't feel like the club does much to build a bond with the fans, a lot of what goes on at the club is fan driven.

Ultimately, as long as they sell the allocation they don't care about the fans experience. I see it is currently not sold out, despite being on sale to all ST holders & members regardless of loyalty points. I wonder if this is the year it doesn't sell out....
April 5, 20188 yr My local team is the in the FA trophy final and it was 30 quid cheaper to get 10 tickets than it would have been to get 2 for the FA cup semi final.

Bastards Just looked on website and we still haven't sold out for Wembley!! Could be embarrassing, we sure we need a bigger stadium? We could be out numbered by a small south coast club on match day.

April 6, 20188 yr I've argued before in relation to the New Stamford Bridge, that there have been a high number of matches I have seen with empty seats, and there were still tickets for the match against the Spammers this morning (I guess it will be another match with empty tickets). If we don't sell out our allocation for the FA Cup semi at Wembley that would definitely worry me in relation to building a new stadium with more seats. If we don't fill Stamford Bridge in a match against West Ham or don't sell our allocation for an FA Cup semifinal at Wembley, I think that there will be many seats empty in an stadium with a capacity for 60,000+. I don't doubt that we have the fanbase to fill the new stadium, but whether because of the prices or because of the season, the truth is that we don't sell out week in week out the actual allocation of SB.

Stoke- Bolton, Wigan- Millwall, Barnsley- Cardiff. Not exactly big names but I'm sure we will sell out our allocation if not that's beyond embarrassing.

Got the sack from that one - the owner of this free newspaper eventually tumbled that rather than go to the effort of posting through letterboxes I was slinging them in the river Wandle- it was a good touch while it lasted!

I had a Sunday paper round paid for me to get into the Shed, train fare and programme although the programme got sacrificed when I was 14 for 10 Rothmans.
April 6, 20188 yr If we are doing well, i.e. in contention to win the league or going deep in the CL then we sell our seats. Last year and in 2015 you could even miss out category B home games. This season, with the exception of the start, it's been easy to get hold of a home ticket. I haven't missed out on a single one. For league games like Swansea, Bournemouth, West Brom it has gone to general sale and hundreds of season ticket holders put up their seat on the exchange. I think Arsenal in the League cup semi-final went on general sale too and when I was at that game in the MHL there was a decent number of empty seats around me. And I've seen people have made the point about the exchange. I have seen hundreds on there for West Ham this Sunday and Newcastle at home and Watford to name more examples. Even if the VWR f**ks you over you can still go & sit in someone else’s seat. Which makes me wonder where have all these people gone from last season? It's not just glory hunting members it's also season ticket holders that seem to be able to give up their seat for 10 games this season. Has this been a sh*t season? I suppose, but if finishing 5th and potentially making it to/winning an FA Cup final is a sh*t season than it certainly shows how expectations have changed. I think it's embarrassing actually. We will sell out our Wembley allocation it just will take a while as I believe a lot of our supporters have become Jaded and don't want to go. Most of the people going will probably be people going to see Chelsea at Wembley for the first time or people that haven't gone to a single game this season and it's not their fault if they have the chance to. I think some people have slowly been drip fed the negativity each week by our manager!! He'll f**k off at the end of season with 9m pay off and we'll be left to mop up the mess. I wonder what loyalty points we'll need for a season ticket this year, it might come down quite low. Anyway I'll be at Wembley come semi final day, for the piss up and day out.

I can understand why people feel more disconnected to our current squad than any other too. As for loyalty points anything under 110 will do for me. Knowing my luck it will be 120 or something! The thing is I thought it would be low in 2016 but it still turned out to be quite high.
April 7, 20188 yr Any1 know if you get 2 tickets whether you will be seated together for the semi final. Looking at getting 2 but they dont inform on rows or seats.

April 12, 20188 yr Still not sold out, bit of an embarrassment really, need a bigger ground?...my arse. This rate we'll be out numbered by saints fans!!!

What sort of crowds will we get if we have to move in to Wembley permanently for a couple of seasons more than 42,000?.

New breed of fan now a days, Sunday afternoon, bit of inconvience for Rupert going to Wembley, and his roast dinner will get cold, he'll will give this one a miss, may be go to the theatre instead. I think we can say that Wembley is surely a no no when the ground gets knocked down.
