October 31, 20187 yr We could lose Green, Cahill, Fàbregas, Drinkwater, Moses and Piazon. Any suggestions as to who we replace them with? Remember we also have a few loanees that could fill the quota. Edited October 31, 20187 yr by Floyd25
October 31, 20187 yr Green is easily replaceable, just get another ageing English keeper or promote a youth player. Bulka already looks good enough, but I could see him going out on loan at some point. I wouldn't be surprised if Green sticks around though, even if he isn't playing. Cahill will probably be replaced by Ampadu. Fabregas and Drinkwater will probably leave next season (Drinkwater could go in January) I'm not sure if either will be replaced though. It will be hard to find another player who can come in and play the Jorginho role, there aren't any home grown players I can think of who can play that role. So we may not bother looking for anybody. Moses will probably be replaced by Hudson-Odoi. Piazon isn't even somebody I count as part of the squad. He will never play. A lack of home grown players isn't something I worry about too much. If Christensen leaves, then it becomes a bit of an issue because we would likely need to bring in a new foreign CB and we only have 1 space spare for non-homegrown players. Unless we can find another home grown CB that is good enough to replace him. Edited October 31, 20187 yr by Scott Harris
October 31, 20187 yr I think this is why I think we’ll be looking to keep hold of RLC. Promote Hudson-Odoi to the first team to replace Moses. Bring back Mason Mount and Tammy Abraham next season and it’s basically problem solved.

November 1, 20187 yr Green > Bulka Caballero > Heaton Cahill > Zouma Christensen > Rugani Drinkwater > Ampadu Moses > Mount/RLC Piazon > Mount Fabregas > Lewis Cook
November 2, 20187 yr What happened with Drinkwater, retired, injured or just gone without anyone noticing?

If we replace Caballero with a homegrown keeper we could have both imho, would rather have Zouma and Rugani than replace Cahill/Christensen with a mediocre homegrown CB like Lascelles or Tarkowski tbh (if we qualify for the CL next season we may need quality depth). I'm reluctant to suggest we should sell Christensen but he needs to improve considerably. Edited November 6, 20187 yr by the special one
