Great result, barring a fiasco next Thursday we are sitting pretty for progression. Want to see CHO & RLC get more mins then as well, but not optimistic.

• Callum Hudson-Odoi has been directly involved in seven goals in his past seven games in all competitions for Chelsea at Stamford Bridge (four goals, three assists)

RLC and CHO link up well for the goal but by now the game was stretched with Kiev trying to get an away goal. 

CHO had an earlier chance on the break to cross for the front runners yet passed behind them.

CHO is certainly a talent yet still a bit raw for me.

3-0 is a good lead yet not enough to relax, I feel 4-0 would have killed the tie but at 3-0 if Kiev score first it could be interesting for the neutral.

Saying that I expect us to go through. 

 

Couple of issues I have with that take.

 

christensen was solid tonight, dealt with everything that was asked of him and was tidy on the ball as well.

 

the CHO cross you mention was becuase Giroud and Pedro both made the same run in the box, one of them (probably Pedro as he was behind and could see the run Giroud made) should have checked it and stayed at the edge of the box where we would have had another shot at goal.

 

i think 3-0 is enough to kill this game, all we need is one goal and they’ll need to score 5. We’ve had some shocking defensive displays but I can’t even see us making a mess of this!

 

The rest I totally agree on!

Good win 1st half they couldn't touch us, sloppy finishing though could have won by 7.

The highlights

3-0 . Yes I'll happily take that score for us.

We could and probably should have been ahead at half time. credit to their keeper for two good saves.

Great free kick for our second.

They had a couple of chances in the last 10 minute ,which, thankfully they didn't take.

The third goal gives us I think the comfort zone lead for the return leg over there. (Hopefully !)

As soon as Jorginho comes off we become garbage at getting the ball out from the back. So many times losing the ball or over hitting passes that went out.

And yet the score was 1-0 when he left the pitch and we ended up winning 3-0!!

Know what you're saying and I would still prefer Kante to replace Jorginho when he goes off as Kovacic (like Barkley) does have the habit of losing the ball in dangerous areas and we got away with it last night.

Thought Christensen was decent on the whole last night - one particular defensive header in the second half was almost JT like.

Not saying he had a bad game but I think Christensen made a couple of mistakes which at this stage of his career against that level opposition should be criticised. Maybe proper game time is a factor.

Agree 3-0 should be more than enough and hopefully Loftus Cheek and Hudson Adoi get 90 mins next week. 

They played 1 or 2 simple balls last night which caught us out again, so still a lot of work to do there.
