Obviously my first impressions were of skinhead gear which I loved back in 69...saw some great stuff at  Chelsea....eventually wore it all and felt good...wore many sets of clothes...casual.....bowling shirts jeans....good for lady killing around the country...I'll whisper this....bay city stuff....donkey jackets...overals.....some of this i cringe at now.

Got burgled whilst on holiday three weeks back. The most high value items were my clothes-,which most of which I wore to Chelsea at some point. Amongst them Casmere Aquascutum Covert Covert, original Crombie Covert Coat, leather Burberry trench-coat, goatskin Gucci leather jacket, Daks hacking jacket, Aquascutum rain mack, DKNY buffullo leather jacket, loads more….have to produce photographic evidence of it or purchase receipts in order for claim to proceed. 10-15 grands worth of clothes  That burglary certainly took the edge off my day…

That's strange, some bloke was selling the exact same clobber down the pub !

Seriously though, been burgled 3 f**king times in London, it's an awful feeling. Leather jacket from Reece cost a fortune. I asked the bloke in the shop to give me a backdated receipt, and gave him £20 for it.

This was years ago, the c**ts left a deposit on the floor, the old bill said I was lucky it wasn't spread everywhere..

That's a ton of good gear there mate , hope you get it sorted out.

Take care bud

That reminds me, of sleeping one night early 2000's and I heard a familiar sound from the front road as I slept with the window open, then I realised it was my car hatchback opening.

Got up opened the larger window and used by Middle of the Shed honed vocal chords to 'Get the fxxk out of my car!'.

Threw on some trousers got down there no-one in sight yet my ignition box was damaged with the smell of cheap aftershave prevalent.

Got burgled a few months back. Nicked this Aquascutum cashmere coat. Only had it a few months. Cost 400 second hand and 120 to get altered. The reason they’re a N5 badge is because photo was taken round the long haired generals house in Islington. Great shame never got to wear it at Chelsea

Hi Chi.. ain't seen you here for a while? Hope all is well

I still wear a pair of all grey Puma suede trainers. Small "Puma Suede" logo in gold on the side by laces. Most comfortable trainers ever !

As only a occasional visitor to the forum these days I'm confused @Timmy Elms and @Fruit Bat are the same person ? I'm sure I've seen that coat posted before and the prose is very similar that can't be disguised you've come back more times than a squash ball mate 😂.

Where can you buy sheepskin coats in London these days? New rather than Camden/ Portobello Road vintage. I remember the advert for some clothes outlet which peddled them, late 70’s “ The Big Red Building, on Petticoat Lane…”
