Either Gilmour or Zouma IMO. Kepa was OK. Pulisic was good, average and poor all in one game. Ziyech scored a nice goal.

Everyone else was a bit meh.

Was between Zouma and Christensen for me but as Christensen went off early HAS to Zouma. Billy had a good first half and Kepa did well when called upon. Rest all very average.

Zouma for me as well.

Thought the whole four at the back played well though (Kepa / Christensen / Zouma / Emerson). Emerson with I think only one rather miniscule mistake with his positioning was surprising me a bit.

I suppose in the event of a relatively poor team performance, one's instinct is to look towards the matchwinner. However, considering the nature of our goals, even that isn't really an option.

Even those you would ordinarily point towards as being most reliably able to give us consistent performances (e.g. Mount, Hudson-Odoi, Azpilicueta, etc.) all struggled today.

In terms of overall positives:

- Christensen mostly coped well in an unfamiliar position, but had a couple of poor moments in possession and was taken off just after the hour (presumably related to his midweek illness). Does not at all naturally get forward in the way that Azpilicueta does in that position.

- Kepa made some good reaction saves (which is very much a good thing considering some of what we've witnessed this season), but as ever provided zero presence in the penalty area.

- Gilmour was very inventive in his distribution and movement, but overhit a large proportion of his passes.

- Pulisic was creating 'things' (executing them poorly on the whole), and did so while getting the sh*t kicked out of them by Sheffield United's defence.

I think Zouma, overall, carried out his job most effectively. I think certainly, he was the 'least bad'. It does feel a little odd being this critical after a win to nil which got us into an FA Cup semi-final, but it's hard to argue that we weren't lucky. If nothing else, the scoreline doesn't tell the full story.

If anyone is interested, one Sheffield United fan who [understandably] wasn't impressed with what he saw today has mostly been shouted down in his criticism of us: https://www.s24su.com/forum/threads/chelsea-borefest.85677/

Tp be fair several of us have said how dull we have been in a few matches, even before TT took over.

However the overriding theory is Chelsea have to be successful. The media say it, other people in the game say it, some of our fans and opposition fans say it.

So while TT is achieving success, sturdy defence, progress in FA cup and CL, in to top four from what 9th? Then the majority will say is job progressing well and that is all that matters. Given the lack of time TT had with us he has done really well so far.

Zouma looked like he gave a damn. The rest treated it like a won game already and were rattled when Sheffield got serious.

The sh*thousery from Sheffield was painful to watch though. Our team must be in bed at the moment from the sore muscles of yesterday
