Lol To me, it’s blatantly obvious that the biggest issue with this team is the inability to play the ball forward quickly from midfield to attack. How many times did we see Timo (and occasionally Lukaku) make great runs but the ball never came? We instead go wide to fullbacks, let the opposition recover, and rely on hopeful crosses. Jorginho, Kova and Kante can’t play that kind of pass. Billy Gilmour is possibly the only midfielder with that in his locker yet Tuchel seems desperate to show him the door. f**king sick of it.

Lol While I agree that he is technical and a player that we should aim at developing as he's the natural substitute for Jorginho with more passing range, I'm not sure that he is strong enough yet for the physicality of a game like yesterday. He would have required someone strong alongside like Kova, in my opinion. But yes, him being ignored when we are sorely lacking choices of quality in midfield is weird.

Is great Leeds are still in the top flight, they are our true created rivals. Not because of local proximity but by history and pure animosity. In spite of that kudos to them and their manager, they ran their socks off for the cause and deserved that. Anyways on us: Mendy either needs to stop messing about with the ball at his feet, I.e. just clear it down one side, or he needs to be replaced. We laugh at what De Gae has turned in to, and Mendy is becoming a laughing stock in his own right. He needs to fix it or we need to make a change. Koulibaly had a poor game, even poorer was how he got himself almost deliberately sent off. Shameful. Watched it again on MotD2. What happened was a Leeds forward made an off the ball run across his path, and KK used his arms very briefly to avoid a collision. On the replay it looked like a pull back, but the player was running away from the ball as KK was trying to run back towards the ball. He didn't try and impede him, but that's what it looked like to the ref.
August 22, 20223 yr Having IBS and eating a lot of sugar or meat snacks so I can do strength exercises in the evening makes me wonder about our journey up there and if later snacks effed up their normal prep. Coaches take longer than flights and so if they had to rush at last minute to get transport up there likely also messed up the timing on their pre-match snacks. If so might explain some lethargy on the pitch. would be nice if this was it rather than just being outplayed.

August 22, 20223 yr Some credit goes to Leeds as much as some don’t want to give it. We started with some really fast paced play and they matched it, they worked hard.
