Interesting - Loftus-Cheek in the tweaked wing-back role and Mount a little deeper or something a bit stranger?

Probably RLC at wing back. And Mason as a pivot which rarely ends up well. Hopefully it's going to be different today...

My guess is Potter is gambling on Villa not being up to much on offense (less than 1 XG I think 7 games out of 10 and Gerrard admitting he relies on individual brilliance).

Just a mess of a defence when he's not that limited...

Thats a very odd line up. Would have never guessed it tbh. Now am curious how we will play. I would have rather played Gallagher as a right wing back tbh instead of Mount or Sterling or go with a different formation all together 4'2-3-1. Cant wait to see us play now.

Probably. They really are shambles at the moment. Would be such a shame if we don't make use of that.
