He doesn’t deserve to get excuses as you’ve listed. You are right; more in terms of wages—less so transfer fee imo. Fees between clubs have little to do with the player. The point was made in the context of the KDH discussion; how they operate under very different circumstances — nothing else. He’s been subpar for us; I’m just not sure it’s that easy to upgrade on him. We will find out soon enough from the chatter. Edited Saturday at 19:314 days by acaeus

Monday at 15:043 days He's agreed personal terms with half of Europe. They need to actually pay us, though.

Tuesday at 00:112 days 120 mil and you can have it .. a luxury player who is good in a couple of positions but not a world beater in any.

His fee would have been one of the last both from a PL and UEFAs perspective that allowed amortisation over 5 years so there would still be at around 2/3 of his fee on the books. So we need to get around £70-75 million to wave him good bye. Will we recoup the £100+ million we paid ? What is becoming the norm is that very mediocre players are now being talked about as being in the £100m range so as I say I don’t see him as world class but if my assessment is wrong and the pundits are right than it’s quite possible that there will be an actual and not just accounting profit.
Tuesday at 10:312 days If he is such a star and to good for Chelsea then he can jog on, he’d have to jog cos he ain’t got a sprint in him.

The more this happens the higher the chance he goes for 120m. There's a reason we spent that much on him, the same hype happened after the last world cup.
Tuesday at 12:442 days Waking up was beautiful this morning, sun was out, fresh after the storms overnight, then my day was ruined remembering we still haven't sold Enzo... going to be a long summer

I think Maresca ruined him and coached everything great out of him.. he ain’t a 8.. was a 6 in the pirlo mould to be honest .. but he never worked on that position and has become weaker and weaker in his positioning to command a center mid position for me.. so yeah I hope he has a great World Cup and we maximise the profit and get to see a better player there.
1 hour ago1 hr Cannot go sooner enough for me.Obviously believes he's destined for greater things... but you could probably say that for most of the team given the mess we're in.
