Actually I think it has happened before yet because of Sterling pressing high up the pitch it was not commented on.

Kane seems more like a 10 to me not a 9.

Kane hasn't been strictly a 9 for a long time. Changed his M.O. seasons ago at Spurs, coming a lot deeper, feeding the likes of Son running forward. It's his game these days. Whether it suits England is another matter.

I'm only watching Turkey-Portugal because there's nothing interesting on tv and I don't want to read.

Pepe might have escaped a red in that 1st half though the last gap challenge looked strange yet no replay.

Lee Dixon commented on it later when a Turk got booked for a challenge, he said no different to the challenge earlier by Pepe, no but Pepe's one would have been red.

He surprised me, during the match half time break he said he thought Palmer should come as he offers something different.

Actually I would quite like one of the so called "underdog" teams to win the competition, they've served up some great football games, playing without fear and taking risks.

I've had a horrible feeling since the tournament began that Palmer might have to take a crucial penalty,(if he ever gets game time ) and misses it.

I had to listen to it on the radio Scott but they were saying that it needs to be stopped because of the potential danger to players .

I want Belgium to win this one and loved the way they started pressing with intention and then get the goal.

In the Mail, Rice has broken cover and says Southgate needs to decide on pressing strategy says it is half the game and they don't have a strategy.

Souness or someone else asked why Stones did not bring the ball forward like he does at City when England can't get going, Maguire used to do this.
