I'm assuming that is premier leage? because I think he has a few more in all comps

Id guess that in the Roman era only costa has better stats in his first 40 games ... maybe Anelka at a push.

Prior to that we had Jimmy id have jackson every day over Jimmy. Actually, if we could combine the two...

I think when I look around the prem I dont see many better as a number 9 . Halland for sure but then what, maybe Solanke, Isak and Watkins but the latter 2 would now cost you 100 million and I'm not sure they areworth that. Arsnenal crying out for one, Darwin has not exactly been a success.  I don't follow football on the continent as much as I used to, I saw that many are raving about the sporting CF, but it's always a gamble and at that cost I'm not sure it would be worthit. If we were to go and spunk the best part of 80 million on a player a keepr should surly be the priority.

He didn’t  cost a bundle of dough and he’s a trier. A very enthusiastic trier that pops up with goals. If everyone’s fit should he start? No f**king way

Listen, listen, listen. Stop, stop, stop. Everyone.  Breathe. Deeply. Innnnnnnn. Breathe Oooooout.

Good.

Now Jackson has fuenge. Jackson has juice. No doubt. Jackson is a little nugget. To be polished. To be shined. Slowly, slowly overtime. He can learn the job. And N'kunku can teach him. Show him the moves. Show him the stop motion, split second, instinctive, cool finishes that will mean those five or six missed chances can be turned into 2, 3 or 5 goals.

Jackson just has to sit on the bench for a little bit and learn from N'kunku. It isn't a punishment for Nico. It's a learning curve.

If we had a half decent striker the amount of goals related to all the chances we make would be treble to what he is scoring now..

Jeezus, I don't check the forum for a day and a half and all sh*t happens.

Calm down you lovely but crazy nut jobs.

NNNJ = £0

SimplyMo = £5 (offsides, terrible passes and missed open goals). £1 knocked off for the assist....

@Mod - think this needs its own thread 🫢

Who judges the passes?

I haven't got to that thread yet but I'm going through the notifications atm and I see it next mate. I had a lot to catch up on.

Tbf, I agree he hesitated and that just comes with experience and remembering not to do the same mistake twice. Like in a previous post I forgot to add to the quotes. These little things are the polishing a club does imho, that can be trained, to be more ruthless. The good thing is him being in that position in the first place to take that chance. The team is gelling. But...that was an amazing block too, I don't think enough credit was given to the defender.

I don’t see the problem.

He got an assist, had a goal cleared off the line, excellent work rate, great link up, a constant menace against brighton’s defence.

His partnership with Palmer is fantastic, the way Palmer set him up for that chance, that’s all down to their partnership and that’s key. A goal scoring chance out of nothing.

I can see why people find him frustrating but I’m happy with him. He’ll get many, many more assists and a few more goals and that’s good enough for me.

7 G/A in 6 games.

This...I get it too, to some degree (not Jim's views, but normal ppls, lol) he does frustrate a lot especially when it just isn't his day. But his stats so far this season can't be knocked and he's still learning.

I genuinely believe him and nkunku will push each other to get better, and I do hope he does learn a few things off him too. There will be rotation depending on who we play. Low block is all nkunku, and we will face that soon I guess if we keep getting wins like this.

One of Drogba's best games in a chelsea shirt invovled him scoring no goals, also not the worlds most clinical finisher, strangly when it really clicked for him we didn't win the league that season.

Will Jackson continue to fustrate, probably for a bit longer, he's still learning. Still offers a lot to the team, big fan. Also a big fan of Nkuku and do think we should see a bit of rotation.

Hes on the right path tbh. I had drogba's full stats open a few days ago for his first 3 seasons. According to that, jackson will still annoy jim next season too. 🤣 🤣 🤣

Glad to see the vile post left by @bluetrooperhas been deleted.  Thanks Mod....

For those that missed it, he (rather oddly) linked to an NHS article about children coming out as Gay or LGBTIQ, and then called me racist.... All because I dislike a player he rates. Charming.

Ffs, guys...keep it civil. You'd think you supported different teams!

We're all blue, and we all have opinions but I think we are all old enough to know to chill when getting pissy.

Need to make sure im awake before making any bets with loverboy.

Watching the open goal chance back on MOTD. He does well to control the ball and get it away from Verbruggen, but he then looks behind him (presumably checking for oncoming defenders) rather than immediately lashing it towards goal. That was the pause which allowed Webster to get to the line to block the shot.

I feel like it's a cliché to talk about killer instinct, but it's hard to imagine Vardy or Costa (or even Madueke or Palmer for that matter) being quite as cautious. Can that sort of instinct be taught?

He does it sometimes though, West Ham being the latest example. I dont know if these things can be taught, but if he can get rid of that extra touch and that little hesitation that sometimes holds him back, I truly believe he’ll be rated among the top 3-5 strikers in the world

I just watched the first half finally. I dont understand why he hesitated/looked round to find a team mate when the goal was open instead of shooting first time.

Was he trying to find Cole?

Was he lacking confidence?

Or did he just get stuck in 2 minds, shoot or pass?

I'll watch it properly tmrw, the whole match.

But through tired eyes, like i said above I really think this comes with experience and training. If he's in a similar position surely he'll remember how it went last time or how he dealt with it in training.

Anyway...remember ppl, love him or hate him, he's one of ours and we all have our own opinions and views.

End of the day I think we should all hope he and all the other kids in this crazy year 3 of 4 of the owners 4yr master plan do well this season.

Anyway...I'm starting to see double. Night all. I have a thread to analyse with a fine tooth comb tmrw, need to be awake for @nonotnowjim.

Agree....not of gold though.

More like one of those little nuggets that bob around the bowl at the end of a particularly emotional movement....an unflushable.

There are some opinions we should trust. A some we shouldn't.

I guess the clue here is in the line: "‘I like Nicolas Jackson a lot,’ Hasselbaink told Genting Casino."

So to recap - a quote from a biased chelsea fan, to a casino (wtf?), that has been rehashed in the daily fail.....

If we get even 20% of the fee JFH is quoting - then we should bite off the hand of whoever is offering.

1) Part timer

2) Me, you, val - all being reasonable, and trying not to be overly biased.

3)Remember nicky - it's not nice to sh*t the bed....this is now the 4365th time - please remember not to do it again. ok?

4)Agreed - some people seem to really like him - to the extent that they go waaaayyyyy off topic. Odd.

5)There are no traps. All for a good cause

6)I think the answer is because he is rubbish - or isn't a striker, or was thinking about the tart. As someone who always finishes first - excessively early in some cases - I am not the best person to ask about delayed finishes - but think the answer is one of the above.

7)no - he is just rubbish

8. see 7

9. He doesn't think - he is brain dead and rubbish.

10. Sweet dreams sweet cheeks.....

I think the only person who needs to get a grip mate is the man child who literally falls over himself to rubbish a Chelsea player at any opportunity around the clock 24/7, 365 days a year. Do you not find that really strange? Fans who defend him are called all sorts by said man child and as I've said previously, its really weird, irrational and obsessive/ Fetish kink-like behaviour. Interestingly, the said man child wouldnt say any of the things he says here to Jackson the player in person: 1) Because he's a coward or 2) a mid age man with an embarrassing obsession? It also comes across as unintelligent, donkey like, and plain sad.

Anyhow. I'll let you defend a grown man with an obsession / fetish for being abusive. Have a lovely day.

Maybe, just maybe, part of @nonotnowjim 's fun is seeing others frothing at the mouth in response. If you think he needs to get a grip, perhaps you should as well.

I see “if we just had someone to finish all these chances” a lot. But do you have that sheer number of chances without Jackson?

He does such a good job of dragging defenses into shapes they don’t want. The other front players, especially Palmer, love playing off him.

There are ways you can set up to stop technical players that like to play a certain way, like Sancho, Palmer, Felix. But with his speed and power, Jackson single handedly provides a counter that makes those set ups not really an option.

That one goal blocked by the sliding defender… could he have taken the shot a half step sooner? Yeah. But think about how he was just onside (would’ve been off last year). How good was the first touch control of that outrageous Palmer pass? Instead of getting nervous and immediately putting it at the goalie’s stomach or shanked wide of the goal altogether, he rounds the goalie.

He can still get a ton better, but he’s already fixed and sharpened his play a ton. He does the work that makes the fancier stuff come off so well. Great stuff.

his first touch took him out of position, and then he missed an open goal.....

Dress it up however you like - but it doesn't change a poor touch and a missed golden chance.

Thankfully this time he didn't cost us....but he has in the past, and he will again.

Dude, the guy has been arguing with everyone who disagrees with him. Its an obsession and not a healthy one. I mean, what good is it going to do? I wonder what it is driving the hate filled obsession. Why is it fun to polerise opinion and say some really classless things about a chelsea player? Why does one man have to be so decisive? what good is coming from it? Do you not find it odd and obsessional? Last week he called a player a sexual predator, legally, that is bordering on liable. if you think its cool, that's on you mate. Anyhow. I support the chelsea striker I dont support obnoxious conintual views and hence why I mute Jim. guy is an absolue moron as far as im concerned.

Jackson is a chelsea player and surely deserves our support? That's what im doing.

lol - it's not our house or furniture - and therefore limited in what we can do to brighten it up from standard issue furniture. It's all over the gaff.

So I attempted to tart it up with some other bits - but obviously I am failing. Need a women's touch....

Begging for naked photos from a young girl - as a way to "motivate" him is ok.....but calling wacko out for it is not ok?

lol....the rules you live by!

Jim, sadly, just saw your response to my post in the feed, i still saw it there so @Mod, if theres a way to mute someone there it would be good too.

look, Only fans is a paid for site, ie, you pay to access content, or pay to talk to porn stars, if you subscribe to an account, you may well have to pay to text. its a younger thing you may not understand... however, its a site that is transactional and therefore a person has to pay, in most instances, to interact with a sex worker. it's basically online prostitution if its better to look at it in terms you may understand.

god forbid anyone in your family has a secret account, or you'll have to call them a predator as well. It's the modern world mate and women and men have monetised sexting as it was known ten years ago.

nothing predatorial about two consenting adults on a site where users and models have to verify to interact. However, keep clinging to your world view if it makes you happy, im glad you're so pious and live your life like a monk.
