A funny thing though - even though you do have me on mute, I have set this up to recieve a notification every time you click on that little 'you have chosen to ignore' button - and you still open my 'contributions'..... You really might as well unmute me given that you still seem desperate to read all my posts. 😉 No need to reply - but just to confirm, you will not reply to this post if you agree that Wacko is a fraudulent donkey and a sexual predator, who should be sent to the glue factory. Your silence, will be golden, and endorsement enough.... Live long....sonny jim xoxo

That's no certainty. All the batten years we've had with strikers it's not because the team wasn't creating. Yes, maybe play style might have slightly hampered some but they still all got chances. That's a very troubled position from us, we've got players like Werner, Moraya, Lukaku who are all three different style forward players and you would think would each hold their own weight but massively underachieved. Nico doesn't come with as good a reputation or maybe not fancy enough for some. He's at least got the output. And the runs he makes for the teams, the work he puts in, which many praised Werner and tolerated his shortcomings in front of goal for, since Jackson offers that as well as goals...... I'd like Nkunku to get a sustained run in the team. I think he's a better player and finisher but will he have the kind of output? We'll never know now as he's not first choice striker but I wish he does get it soon so that we can see how he does there. He doesn't stretch centre backs like Nico does though.
September 30, 20241 yr Have really enjoyed logging on and seeing the blow-up after Saturday's game. Lots of entertaining reading with some maybe less entertaining name-calling. I watched the compilation of Jackson misses and out of interest, thought to look up Haaland's. Haaland is a far more complete striker. His numbers are excellent, and I am in means saying Jackson is on his level. But you could easily call him a useless donkey who couldn't hit a barn door using the below. Some absolute howlers here. Only four players have more goals than Jackson. Same goes for assists. He's third in the league behind Palmer, Haaland and Salah for combined G/A. I'll take his misses if he can maintain these figures, without a doubt.

But you see, this is where critical thinking comes in. As although Haaland might have just about enough misses to make a short compilation video, he has also achieved the following: with Manchester City (2022-present) Premier League: 72 games, 73 goals, 13 assists Champions League: 21 games, 18 goals, 2 assists All other comps: 12 games, 9 goals with Borussia Dortmund (2019-2022) Bundesliga: 67 games, 67 goals, 19 assists Champions League: 13 games, 15 goals, 2 assists All other comps: 9 games, 9 goals, 2 assists with Red Bull Salzburg (2018-2020) Austrian Bundesliga: 16 games, 17 goals, 2 assists Champions League: 6 games, 8 goals, 1 assist Europa League: 1 game All other comps: 4 games, 4 goals with Molde (2017-2018) Eliteserien: 39 games, 14 goals, 5 assists In addition..... he is.... Fastest to 50 Premier League goals (48 games), beating Andy Cole by 17 games. Broke Kevin Phillips’ record of goals in a first Premier League season when he bagged his 31st of the season versus Leicester City on April 15, 2023. Most goals in a Premier League season of any length (36) Second-most goals in an English top-flight season (Ron Davies scored 37 for Southampton in 1966-67). Most goals in all comps by a Premier League player in one season (52) Second-most goals in all comps by a player from England’s top-flight (52). Everton’s Dixie Dean scored 63 in 1927-28). So compilation video aside, Haaland has a long and proven history of being an elite finisher - with a few misses sprinkled in. In comparison, 'Wacko the Fraudulent donkey boy' (TM) only has the misses.....

I guess I was highlighting the fact that all strikers miss easy chances. It's so easy to paint a striker with a brush by using selective examples... Such as saying 'Wacko the Fraudulent donkey boy' is a better striker than our legend Drogba, because he's scored more goals in his first 40 league games for Chelsea than Drogba did. Bear in mind Jackson was 22 when he joined a fairly poor Chelsea side, and Drogba was 26 when he joined one of the strongest ever Chelsea sides 😉 I am in no means trying to convince you Jackson isn't a terrible waste of space, I understand that's a lost cause. Just found it interesting to see some of Haaland's terrible misses. Imagine if we'd got rid of Drogba after a couple of seasons for being wasteful and a diving diva...
