Jim Jim. Do you reckon that we should have 2 Premium League tables running in tandem ? One that shows the usual football stuff, wins, points etc and the positions of all PL clubs ?

And another one for our new financially concerned fans that only show PL clubs positions in relation to profit, losses , overall debt etc ? .

Nope - I dont. But all the time there are rules there to try and "control" clubs, then there will always be highly paid accountants to manipulate, find loopholes and get around them.

Personally, I dont like the restrictions in place - and think it should be down to individual owners to buy/sell as they choose.... but I dont make the rules.

I think the way to go about it is to not get excited about any new signings until they are in a match day squad.

That's a revolutionary idea. Buying players to actually play in , and improve the team ?

We had a long head start with no restrictions at all for a long time that brought us untold success.

PSR rules now prevent anyone else from living the dream that we did. Newcastle a case in point.

If true it makes sense to move the larger fee on Lesely. Means we made a profit on him.

That's more to provide a coping crutch for the ledger-obsessed section of our fans, PSR doesn't care about which player has the "profit".

A fair price for both players and actually more than I thought possible for Broja, given his injury history. Ugochukwu is a Prem-experienced midfielder and is still young, a good season and Burnley will easily sell him at a profit if they go down.

Absolutely brilliant!!! With the loan fee on top for Ugochukwu that is major profit on the player. SDs have done it again. These 2 sales all but have paid for Xavi Simons.

£20M for Broja is mad!

Burnley sign Lesley Ugochukwu from Chelsea

Burnley complete the signing of midfielder Lesley Ugochukwu from Chelsea for a fee of more than £20m.

“Sources say the move could be worth up to £20m but the exact price has not been confirmed.”

Add on FC strike again. Another book profit monetary loss.

Broja deal is fantastic on paper but would love to see the up front fee compared to the add ons.
