I do agree with Baleba, however we are not looking at Essugo as the next Caicedo for us. He is just that profile, thats all. He is good enough to fill shoes a couple of games, meanwhile increasing his value for profit in the next year or two. We have Lavia and Santos who are the replavements.

Baleba will cost north of £90m, not many clubs can afford that, so him being in the market has no effect on what we will sell Essugo for.

Fans need to realize our model which has replaced Roman Abramovich bankrolling us. We do not buy every player for our squad. The ones good enough get to be in our squad, the rest are flipped for profit. This is what we all need to understand as fans.

I think we're all aware of the atrocious plan by now, one where we actually spend like Roman , rack up over half the debt that took Roman 19 years to rack up... but Roman took Chelsea from never ever winning the PL to Champions 🏆 in his 2nd season..

Fans need to realise that our owners took THAT club and slammed us into reverse.

And I'm sick.of everyone seemingly now being more invested in our accounts than our football team and looking forward to our Account Book being paraded around the stadium. 📓📓📓📖📖📖📗📗📗

If this window continues as it’s been going then the club might well parade the books around the stadium.

😂 They won't be parading BlueCo and HoldCo's books around the stadium !!

No idea why you are so angry about it. Some of us have an interest in finances and find this exciting, why is this so wrong? We are doing great both financially and building our team.

Win - Win for all fans and club.

Doing well financially?? See below 😂 And ou don't build a team by constant, never ending player trading every season . Guess what ? They actually bought an elite club with no debt. .

.

"CHELSEA'S owners have lost £1billion over the last two seasons despite the club posting profits.

The Blues are controlled by chiefs Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali via parent company 22 Holdco Ltd."

Club has lost nothing as of yet, matter of fact the owners model is just now kicking into gear.

No point beating a dead horse though, we can agree to disagree and both move on from it.

No need to be that angry, I am not into all this stuff either, but if there is anything we must learn from all of this is that these guys have it all sorted out and it's proving to be the opposite of the clownfest people thought to be at the start of all this.

Rebuilding the squad the way they did was only possible by either being in the UCL every single season, or by doing a buy low, sell high type of business, while adjusting the wage bill to facilitate future sales. No inbetween. And the first option was always risky to count on because there are only four available UCL spots every season.

This summer was perfect from both sporting and financial perspective because there are the CWC, UCL and new shirt sponsor money, plus an extra reshape of the squad, but this time on the club's terms, as now things are settled and this window and the next one or two ones they just add the final touches.

Roman laid the foundation, but if these guys go with their plans, they will transform the club into something very solid and sustainable on a very long term.

Is this a Beavis and Butthead signing right?

These two sporting clowns 🤡 have gotten away with a lot because we have won the Conference League finish 4th and win the CWC.

If we hadn’t done that there would be far more scrutiny around them. They should be in PIP right now with how bad they have performed its shocking.

Are you sure? He has been loaned for half a season to a relegated Portuguese team, came back wasn’t deemed good enough for a squad role, loaned out again to a relegated La Liga team.

Well he will need to get games and see loads of mins to develop. Caicedo is 1st name on the team sheet, so bar the Cup games & CL against low opposition I can’t see where the mins will come from. Baleba at Brighton is the next big midfielder, and the closest to Caicedo.

The only difference between Essugo and Ugochukwu is one had a good loan and the other didn't.

Essugo was not seen as a elite talent at the time, most were disappointed at the fee rather than him actually leaving as they already had better players.

Roman didn't "lay the foundations" . He built our club up to being a superpower in world football.

He payed for and built a state of the art training facility at Cobham.

The new owners bought an elite club , and had the good fortune to get it with the debt wiped off. They have actually achieved their plans to transform the club. From the elite trophy winning club they bought into something completely different. I want Chelsea to be as successful as you, but I honestly don't see it with the multitude player trading model.

Anyway mate, I hope it works but I'm doubtful.

I think the way to go about it is to not get excited about any new signings until they are in a match day squad.

did we get a loan fee for him last season? If so, then that could push it into an overall profit (not just a book value win)

Jim Jim. Do you reckon that we should have 2 Premium League tables running in tandem ? One that shows the usual football stuff, wins, points etc and the positions of all PL clubs ?

And another one for our new financially concerned fans that only show PL clubs positions in relation to profit, losses , overall debt etc ? .
