Palmer’s  footwork in the first goal was pretty much world class. Jackson two assists and an excellent goal of his own also did very well.

Wow, great result. It really felt like the first time in about 2 years that i've been able to enjoy the whole 90 minutes of a match.

Palmer is fantastic, not much more needs saying really. Maybe he could have given up the penalty but I do like the killer instinct in him to want more, especially given hes now in the golden boot race. The other 2 didn't deserve it anyway based on how they behaved, but i'll get to that.

I thought Caicedo was immense. Aggresive, timed his tackles well. Similarly to Kante, he has the tendency to chase a tackle a bit too far up the pitch sometimes but I think thats always going to happen when you're looking to be as aggressive in the press as he is.

I liked the Madueke and Mudryk performances. Madueke is very direct if not slightly predictable but its exactly what we need. I really enjoyed Mudryks game. I think hes always going to be a bit frustrating but he creates moments that others can't with his pace, pulled off a couple of outrageous passes too.

Fair play to Gallagher, think he did a good job. As did the defence. Maybe on another day we may have been punished for some bits of defending but they did what was needed and the clean sheet made the scoreline even better.

Regarding the penalty situation, theres a couple of ways to see it. Initially, its nice to see people wanting to step up. Dele made a comment after the game that its bad because they didnt want to step up in the last minute against United but I don't agree. Thats the exact moment to fall into rank and let Palmer focus. I don't hate that they wanted to take it and I can understand thinking Palmer would let them, given hes already scored 3. The issue comes when they don't back down and let it escalate.

Ironically, I think Jackson was arguing for Madueke to be able to take it. Jackson and Madueke initially got heated between the 2 of them and Madueke won. Then, after a bit of resistance, Madueke looked to concede to Palmer and Jackson looked to take an issue with it. If they have a bit of back and forth and then back down then theres no story but Jackson lost his head (again) and it turns into something bigger.

Hopefully Poch has sorted it out and we can push on to the end of the season without any sort of hangover from it. Despite how hard we keep trying to blow it, the top 6 is still on.

What a night! Great game where everything went our way and finally we score our chances. There were some negatives, which should have been corrected by now, but I'm not going to go too heavy on Pochettino because we deserve to enjoy ourselves and be happy this week after last night's result and attacking performance.

It was fantastic. Great to win so comfortably, especially after the start where Everton were pressing us and we looked very nervy and kept giving the ball away and you feared it could be another of "those" nights.

Just shows the fine margins in football. Pickford has had great games against us in the past and won them the points yet last night he had a poor game. If Everton had Calvert-Lewin available instead of Beto, maybe he scores one or two early on. If we had Disasi & Badiashille playing instead of Silva and Chalobah, maybe we concede under that early pressure. No Cole Palmer and again the game would have been totally different. a convincing 6-0 win yet I'm sure most of us didn't relax until the 4th goal went in as even at 3-0, you think Everton get the next goal and this could all go pear-shaped.

But we were due to batter a team as we certainly have it in us. Let's hope for more of the same for the remainder of the season.

I was telling my friend at the beginning of the game that usually Pickford has a world class performance at the Bridge, but man did he have a bad night :laugh2: It was as if the spirits of Kepa, Sanchez and Petrovic, mixed with a bit of Caballero, had all taken over him!

I agree, had Beto scored their first chance, things would have been different. We had Palmer making the difference with that first goal and then all clicked and we battered them. Still, we made too many mistakes in set pieces and crosses, but it wasn't Everton's night, thankfully.

We were due some luck with the finishing and to enjoy ourselves during a match, it's been a while since we were able to.

I would have started to relax after the 5th goal went in but all the shoving before the pen was taken took all the enjoyment away for me.😁

I was worried it would have affected Palmer, but once he scored I had forgotten about the squabbling toddlers. Also, I wasn't as worried anymore about Everton coming back to equalise :blush2:

I think that video shows how it became a bigger problem. Noni believes he is the one fouled, Cole is down and has a hat trick already. On top of that he is nailed down a first team player, Noni is not and wants to show he can continue his own mini streak with pens.

Jackson wants it as well, they argue, probably as Nico has a goal already so when Silva speaks to them both he calms it, Jackson backs off and Noni is the taker.

Then Cole comes over along with Conor and wants the pen, which is his right as the main taker and I guess he wants the golden boot. However, should Cole also consider his team mate, and friend off the pitch, in his mission to get regular minutes? Noni argues he and Jackson already discussed it and Silva approved it. Gallagher points out he is the captain and he says give the ball the Palmer.

Noni is upset about this as he thought Silva had settled it already, game is done and he is still fighting for a first team spot. He begrudgingly agrees and gives the ball to Cole, however Nico then gets pi$$Ed off as he only agreed to step away so Noni could have a chance to score, Cole already had 3, Jackson is our striker and he wants another goal.

He is likely pointing out Silva, our by far most senior pro, settled this and now Conor and Cole have come over, discussed this and, I would venture, Nico called Cole something along the lines of being selfish for not letting Noni have it. Cole then shoves him, which he should not have done to a team mate let's be fair here, as had Jackson shoved Cole many on here would have wanted him hanged.

Results in a very pi$$Ed off Nico.

Been covered a lot what Nico and Noni did was wrong, but Conor and Silva should be on the same page here, and Cole should not have shoved Nico either.

More than the 2 needed the boll0cking imo

Absolutely not,  now wash your mouth out.

NB What's that got to do with anything anyway ?

It was a joke based around a certain type of Brexiteer and their hatred of foreign accents.

Fair enough but I can assure you I don't fall into that category.  I just struggle to understand what Poch is saying and I'm certainly not alone in that.

For what it's worth, it's not so much his accent as much as what he is actually saying.

You're probably quite right in your assessment there.

Fact is Poch should have nipped it in the bud after Sterling grabbed the ball off Palmer and missed the pen versus Leicester. A lack of man management.

All good mate. No offence intended
