Ah if only mate. Is what we need to have a real shot at the cup.

This and then Newcastle beating City in the quarter finals.

That would be nice, but it's more likely Arsenal & Man City will be drawn at home to lower league sides.

Weve got Wrexham Away.

We are on a run of away draws in both the cups. The semi vs Arsenal, being a 2 legged affair l, does not count as a home draw imo.

FA Cup fifth round draw in full:

Fulham vs Southampton

Port Vale or Bristol City vs Sunderland

Newcastle United vs Manchester City

Leeds United vs Norwich City

Mansfield Town vs Arsenal

Wolverhampton Wanderers vs Liverpool

Wrexham vs Chelsea

West Ham United vs Macclesfield FC or Brentford

The FA Cup fifth round ties are set to be played on the weekend of March 7 and March 8.

In the 90s and also probably 70s-80s that would have been one for the CFC firms for sure.

Arsenal’s luck in cup draws is ridiculous.

They are nearly always drawn against lower league teams and on the rare occasions they do face a premier league team they are normally at home.

In the three years preceding this season, in the FA Cup they were drawn against Man Utd in the third round (and lost), Liverpool in the third round (and lost), and Man City in the fourth round (and lost). They've had worse luck than we have.

I think that accusation normally gets thrown at us too in recent years barring that one where we drew Utd in the first round.

Looking forward to Wrexham should be on tv too.

TBF we have had decent draws recently except the year we got Man City away in the FA Cup and the League Cup in the same season lol.

I stand by my original point about Arsenal as most of the recent exits in the League Cup or FA Cup against any Premier League teams have actually come when they have been drawn at home and lost.

Anyway, Wrexham is a good tie, hopefully we can progress.

Monaco v PSG 1st leg tonight - one option for us to meet in the Round of 16 ( the other being Newcastle v Qarabag tomorrow)

I've watched PSG many times this season, they do not look as solid as they looked last season. Still good in the attacking areas, but midfield looks off and they do not control matches as they used to. This being said, I personally would still prefer Chelsea to play Newcastle next.

Newcastle have a horror run of fixtures coming up, they play two UCL matches, City twice, Everton and Man United before we play against them at the Bridge on 14th of March in the PL and potentially a few days later again in the UCL.

Benfica v Real Madrid delayed for 10 minutes after Vinicius complains of racist abuse. Prestianni with the most guilty looking face throughout.

What an idiot Golovin is. The most obvious red card. I don't know how he thought he would get away with it.

On the one hand I feel we get Newcastle next so we play them 3 times in a row in the space of a week. Football loves such little coincidences.

On the other a PSG after Revenge for the club world cup final also writes itself.

This is an absurd. As a Brazilian i got deeply deeply mad with that.

You have no idea how Brazilians are treated by some Argentinians here in South America.

Says a lot about the weak men of modern football that they resort to racist taunt to respond to a wind-up, rather than actually trying to get physical. Prestianni is a pussy.

I don't know if any of you know about this, but La Liga has been clamping down on illegal streaming really hard in the past year. La Liga has so much power in Spain that they are have managed to get IP addresses blocked in real time. Because so much of the internet is using Cloudfare, it's gotten to the point where the majority of the internet has been inaccessible to people in Spain when there are games in La Liga being played, it's insane. It's affecting vital services too. VPN's are the only way around it, but now they are going after them too. Proton and Nord have both been ordered to shut off access to any illegal streaming sites if anybody in Spain is using their service. The thing is, the likes of Proton and Nord say they have a no logs policy (doubt!) so if that is the case, then they wouldn't know if somebody from Spain is using their service. If they do end up blocking people from Spain, then everybody will know they are talking sh*t.

It's worrying because even here in the UK, our tech illiterate clowns running this country are now starting to go after VPN's too. I wouldn't put it past them to pull similar stunts.

Now look, I hate Vini as much as every other football fan, I think he epitomises the current degradation of the modern game and how far it’s fallen in the past 5 or so years.

BUT there is absolutely 0 place for Racism and it’s GLARINGLY obvious with how that West Falklander approaches him, shirt over the mouth, that he’s not congratulating him on the goal or asking what brand aftershave he’s wearing

Surely there’s enough cameras and mics and even players around now easily identify what’s been said.

It should become a bookable offence to speak with something covering your mouth from now on as it’s only being used for one thing surely.

I can't find any evidence for this, but I remember chuckling at Chiellini's approach to winding up Jack Grealish by complimenting his calves and hair.
